What is Inlaks Fine Art Award?

Inlaks Fine Arts Awards 2027 is an opportunity offered by the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation (a non-profit organisation) for emerging young artists to develop their creative talent. Selected students will receive financial assistance of ₹3,00,000 per year to enable them to work independently anywhere in India. Last date of application is 15th August 2026.

Eligibility of Inlaks Fine Art Award

** The applicant must be an Indian citizen, currently residing in India.
** The applicant must be born on or after 1st January 1996.
** The applicant may be a recent graduate/post-graduate or a final year student from a leading Indian institute for visual arts in India.
** If the applicant has applied for the award earlier, they must submit a new body of work if they re-apply.
** In the case of an applicant not having a formal degree in the visual arts, it is desirable that they would have participated in organised art exhibitions.

Note:
No student of a first year master’s programme will be considered. Applicant should not be holding a similar/ government scholarship or award during the tenure of the Inlaks Fine Art Award.

Amount of Inlaks Fine Art Award

The Award is worth INR 3,00,000/- for a period of one year. Additionally the Awardee will be required to attend an art residency programme within India for a period of four weeks during the course of the year resulting in an open day event.

** As a part of the application, you are required to upload one PDF file containing the following:
** 10 digital still images and/or 2 videos representing your current work.
** Audio/video files can be listed as links in the PDF. If any file is password protected, please provide a password along with the link.

Note: All works must include a list of captions (title, media, year, duration, short description)

Selection Process of Inlaks Fine Art Award

The selection procedure consists of two stages:
** Desk screening of applications followed by an online interview of the shortlisted applicants.
** The candidates shortlisted for the interviews will be informed by the last week of October 2026.
** The final interviews will be held online in the first week of November 2026.
