What is IET India Scholarship Award?

The IET India Scholarship Award is designed to inspire and recognise the brightest upcoming engineering graduates in India. With a total prize worth ₹10 lakhs, this is the country’s most prestigious scholarship award for undergraduate engineers. Now in its 8th edition, applications will soon be open! Last date of application is 15th June 2026.

Eligibility of IET India Scholarship Award

** Year or Specialisation – No bar: Open to all Full-time 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year UG engineering students from AICTE/UGC-approved institutions (all branches included).
** Academic Requirement: You should have cleared all credit courses in a single attempt with a minimum 60% aggregate (or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale).
** No age limit: Apply at any stage of your UG journey!

How To Apply For IET India Scholarship Award?

You can apply online via the official scholarship portal. The application requires details on academics, co-curricular activities, professional engagements, outreach efforts, and IET membership (if applicable).

The scholarship selection happens in three phases:
** Online Application & Test – Assessment of academics, co-curriculars, and professional activities.
** Regional Rounds (Solution-thon) – Shortlisted candidates tackle engineering challenges.
** National Finals – The top finalists compete through presentations and discussions.

Online Test:
1.Shortlisted applicants from Stage 1 will be invited to take an All-India online test.

2.This online test is conducted to assess the shortlisted applicant’s knowledge in core engineering subjects:
** Physics
** Chemistry
** Mathematics
** Mechanical
** Electrical
** Electronics
** Computer Science

There will be a total of 50 multiple choice questions. The top scoring 10% of applicants in each Region (North, South 1 and South 2, East & Northeast and West) will progress to Stage 3.
