What is Nagaland State Horticulture Scholarship?
The Department of Horticulture, Govt. of Nagaland is pleased to inform that students pursuing B.Sc. (Horti) M.Sc. (Horti)y Ph.D. (Horti) can apply for scholarship/ stipend for the year 2026. he department is concerned for the overall development of the horticulture sector and supports any form of progress that will help create a positive impact in society through the sector. Last date of application is 31st January 2026.

Eligibility of Nagaland State Horticulture Scholarship
1. Applicant should be an indigenous inhabitant of Nagaland.
2. The institution in which applicant is currently studying must be recognized by UGC.
3. Applicant should not be receiving any form of financial assistance in the form of Scholarship / Stipend from any other sources.
Courses covered under the scholarship/ stipend:
B. Sc. Hons. (Horticulture), M.Sc. Horticulture, Ph. D. Horticulture
Time frame:
Applicant shall be awarded the stipend for a fixed number of years as follows:
1. B. Sc. (Horti) : 4 Years
2. M. Sc.(Horti) : 2 Years
3. Ph. D. (Horti) : 3 Years
How To Apply For Nagaland State Horticulture Scholarship?
1. All eligible students shall apply for State Horticulture Scholarship through the Common Scholarship Portal https://scholarship.nagaland.gov.in for the session 2025-26.
2. Bank Account must be that of the applicant. Application form will be rejected if the Bank Account is not of the applicant.
3. The Department will not be responsible for non-receipt of scholarship amount due to wrong/inactive bank account details provided by the applicant.
4. Applicant is warned that if he/she gives false statement/declarations/documents etc. or otherwise obtained scholarship through fraudulent means, he/she will be blacklisted and debarred from getting scholarship under this scheme or any other scholarship schemes for the entire period of his/her studies. The scholarship amount if already paid will also be recovered.
5. Incomplete/wrong entries in the e-form or incomplete enclosure of necessary documents will be subjected to rejection. Correction/rectification after online submission will not be entertained.
Note:
The department is engaged in multiple activities such as trainings, conferences, trade fairs and various other events to promote the booming sector besides the cultivation ofhorticulture crops. To maintain the best interest of the sector, the department felt the need to ensure that students pursuing Horticulture degrees should have the right to quality education and support their education in order to help achieve their maximum potential.
