What is Nagaland State Technical Scholarship?

State Technical Scholarship for ST students is awarded by the Government of Nagaland. It is implemented by the Department of Technical Education. This scheme is to provide financial support to the ST students in the form of book grant to those pursuing their studies in technical courses under All India Council of Technical Education recognised Institutions. Last date of application is 30th December 2025.

Eligibility of Nagaland State Technical Scholarship

a. Candidate should be pursuing Diploma/ Degree/Masters course in Engineering Institutes recognised by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)&Council of Architecture (COA).
b. Candidate should be studying currently in the AICTE/COA approved institutions in regular mode.
c. Candidate should not be recipient of any of the Central Govt./State Govt/AICTE sponsored scholarships. One student is entitled for one scholarship only.
d. Parent income from all sources should not be more than eight (8) lakhs per annum during the current financial year

Note:
Students who are satisfying the above 2 a-d conditions are only eligible for this scholarship.

How To Apply For Nagaland State Technical Scholarship?

To apply for Nagaland State Technical Scholarship, Follow the below steps

For Fresh applications:
a. Candidate fulfilling the eligibility criteria is required to apply online through the state portal www.scholarship.nagaland.gov.in
b. Fill in application forms and upload all necessary documents as mentioned in’the e-forms.
c. Institution verification Certificate signed by the Head of Institution.

For renewal:
a. Scholarship will be renewed for the next year through the state portal.
b. Promotion certificate/Bonafide certificate from the Head of Institution/ Institute Verification Certificate signed by the Head of Institution should be submitted while applying.
c. Student failing to get promoted to the next class would forfeit the scholarship.

Terms & Conditions:
a. Application for scholarship is invited once in a year though the state scholarship portal of the Government of Nagaland.
b. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. Only verified applications will be considered for the award of scholarship.
c. Aadhaar number is mandatary for applying this scheme.
d. Correction/rectification after submission is not possible and cannot be entertained.
e. A student can claim for backlog provided he/she has not availed any other scholarship.
f. If any documents found to be false/fake/fraud or a candidate availing more than I (one) scholarships in the same academic year, he/she shall be blacklisted and will be debarred/disqualified under the State Technical Scholarship.
g. If a student produces false Certificates pertaining to Annual Income of Parents/ Scheduled Tribe /Indigenous Inhabitant/Domicile Certificates, the matter will be reported to the Government for necessary Legal Action.
h. All uploaded documents provided in the e-form must be clear and legible, without which the application will be subjected to rejection and cancellation.

Documents Required For Nagaland State Technical Scholarship

For fresh applicants:
a. Recent identical passport photograph with clear background.
b. Admit card, marksheet of previous course level i.e. 10th ,l 0+2 or equivalent for Diploma students.
c. Admit card, marksheet of previous course level i.e. 10+2 or equivalent (Lateral entry) for Degree students.
d. Admit card/ marksheet of previous course level i.e. B.Tech or equivalent for Masters’ Degree students.
e. Scheduled Tribe Certificate
f. Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate.
g. Admission Fee Receipt h. Bank passbook (front page) of the applicant. (Aadhaar seeding of the bank account is must)
i. Income Certificate of the parent.
j. Aadhaar card. (for Aadhaar no.)
k. Institute Verification Certificate/ Bonafide Certificate.

For renewal applicants:
a. Recent identical passport photograph with clear background.
b. Previous Semester marksheet (indicating promoted/passed) for Diploma/ Degree/ Masters renewal students.
c. Semester /admission fee receipts
d. Bank passbook (front page) of the applicant. (Aadhaar seeded)
e. Institute Verification Certificate/ Bonafide Certificate/ Promotion Certificate.
