What is Goa Home Nursing Scheme For ST Students?

Home Nursing Scheme For ST Students 2025 is provided by Goa Directorate of Tribal Welfare. The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students belonging to Scheduled Tribe in order to enable them to pursue Home Nursing courses. The annual income of the parent or guardian of student should not exceed Rs. 6 lakhs from all sources. The application from the students duly recommended by the Head of Institution shall be received in the Directorate of Tribal Welfare. Last date of Scholarship is 15th October, 2025.

Eligibility of Goa Home Nursing Scheme For ST Students

(i) The Scholarship will be given to pursue the following courses from an institution recognized by the State/Central Goverment :-
(a) Certificate Course in Home of duration of at least six months but less than 12 months.
(b) Diploma in Home Nursing of duration of one year or more.
(c) Degree in Nursing of duration of three years.
(d) Health Worker Course of duration of one year.

(ii) Students belonging to ST communities who get admission in an institution recognized by the State/Central Government to pursue above mentioned Home Nursing courses, shall be eligible for the scholarship.
(iii) The scholarship shall be awarded to the regular student who is born in Goa and domiciled in Goa for at least 15 years.
(iv) A scholarship holder under this Scheme shall not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the same course.
(v) The annual income of the parent or guardian of student should not exceed Rs. 6 lakhs from all sources.
(vi) The application from the students duly recommended by the Head of Institution shall be received in the Directorate of Tribal Welfare.
(vii) Scholarship will not be paid during internship/housemanship or for a practical training if the student is in receipt of some remuneration during the internship period or some allowance/stipend during the practical training.

Benefits of Goa Home Nursing Scheme For ST Students

Rate of scholarship will be as under:

Course Fees:
(I) For Certificate Courses of duration of six months but less than twelve-months. Rs.7,000/- or actual whichever is less.
(II) For Diploma Courses of duration of one year or more. Rs. 10,000/-or actual whichever is less.
(III) For Degree in nursing of duration of three year. Rs. 20,000/- or actual whichever is less.
(IV) For Health Worker Courses of duration of one year. Rs. 7,000/- or actual whichever is less.

Maintenance Allowance:
Day Scholars : Rs. 1,000/- p.m. for students
Hostellers : Rs. 1,600/-p.m. for students

Students/Beneficiaries are required to register on portal with minimum details to fill applicaiton online.

Online Application:
After Registration and login on the portal, Students can fill online application form.

Documents Upload:
Required documents has to be scanned and uploaded on portal after online application.

Submit to School / Institute / Directorate:
After application and upload of required documents, student can submit application to School/Institute/Directorate for verification.
