What is Nagaland State Technical Scholarship for ST Student?

State Technical Scholarship for ST Student 2023 is sponsored by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Nagaland. Applicant pursuing Diploma/ Degree/ Post Graduated/ course in Engineering Institutes recognized by AICTE can apply. The Annual Income of the applicant’s parents from all sources must not exceed ₹ 6 lakh (Rupees six lakh). Last Date of scholarship is 28th February 2024.

Eligibility Criteria of State Technical Scholarship for ST Student

1. The name of Scholarship scheme is “State Technical Scholarship for ST Student” under the Government of Nagaland, implemented by Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland.
2. The Annual Income of the applicant’s parents from all sources must not exceed ₹ 6 lakh (Rupees six lakh)(EWS)
3. Applicant pursuing Diploma/Degree/Post Graduated/ course in Engineering Institutes recognized by All India Council for Technical Education can apply. Also Applicant pursuing UG or PG in Forestry course are eligible for this scheme.
4. Applicant must not be an employee of any government/semi government establishment.
5. Applicant pursuing courses other than mentioned in Sl.no.3 are not eligible for this scheme.

Instructions of Technical Scholarship for ST Student

** Bank Account must be that of the applicant. Application form will be rejected if the Bank Account is not of the applicant. In case of joint account, Account should be opened and in all such joint accounts, applicant’s name should appear in the first page of the pass book.

** The Department will not be responsible for non-receipt of scholarship amount due to wrong/inactive bank account number/details provided by the applicant

** Applicant is warned that if he/ she gives false statement/ declarations/ documents etc. or otherwise obtained scholarship through fraudulent means, he/she will be blacklisted and debarred from getting scholarship under this scheme or any other scholarship schemes for the entire period of his/her studies. The scholarship amount if already paid will also be recovered.

** Incomplete/wrong entries in the e-form or incomplete enclosure of necessary documents will subject to rejection. Correction/rectification after submission will not be entertained.

** No hard copy submission is required to be submitted to this office. All the necessary documents that has been provided in the e-form should be uploaded by the candidates must be legible and clear, without which your application will be subjected to rejection.

Guidelines of State Technical Scholarship for ST Student

1. The scheme is implemented online through the State portal www.scholarship.nagaland.gov.in
2. Incomplete entries, wrong entries, not entering the correct particulars in the given column in this e-form and not furnishing the required certificate, documents shall be rejected. Correction/rectification after submission will not be entertained.
3. Scholarship shall be provided for a maximum period of 3 years for Diploma, 4 years for Degree, ( B.E/B.Tech), and 2 years for (M.E/M.Tech).
4. If any documents are found to be false/fraud or a candidate availing more than 1 (one) scholarship schemes in a same academic year the candidate shall be disqualified/debarred under state Technical Scholarship.
5. If a student produce false Certificates pertaining to ANNUAL INCOME OF THEIR PARENTS, ST OR INDIGENOUS CERTIFICATES, the matter will be reported to State Government for necessary legal action.

Required Documents of State Technical Scholarship for ST Student

Documents to be attached with the hardcopy.
For Fresh applicants:-
a) Attach your recent identical passport photograph with clear background in the space provided in the prescribe form.
b) Admit Card and Mark sheet of previous course level i.e. B-Tech or equivalent marks-sheet for PG fresh students.
c) Admit Card and Mark sheet of previous course level i.e. 10+2 or equivalent marks-sheet (lateral entry) for Degree fresh students.
d) Admit Card and Mark sheet of previous course level i.e. 10th or 12th for Diploma fresh students.
e) Schedule Tribe Certificate.
f) Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate.
g) Admission Fee Receipt (Xerox copy)
h) Bank Account Passport (front page Xerox)
i) Income Certificate of parent Annexure I or Annexure II.

For Renewal applicants:-
a) Attach your recent identical passport photograph with clear background in the space provided in the prescribe form.
b) Previous semester mark sheet for Degree/P.G renewal students.
c) Previous semester mark sheet for Diploma renewal students.
d) Admission Fee Receipt (Xerox copy
e) Bank Account Passbook (Front page Xerox)

Note:
The Institute authorities are requested to allow the students to apply for both Merit-cum-Means (Minority) and State Scholarship. Under the Minority Scholarship there is no guarantee in award of scholarship as there are fixed no. of seats in Merit-cum-means based Scholarship.
