SOAS Saraswati Dalmia Scholarship

Saraswati Dalmia Scholarship for the year 2019 are open now. There is one Saraswati Dalmia Scholarship. The scholarship provides a contribution towards fees up to a maximum of £4,396. The scholarship is for one year only.

Candidate Criteria

** Open to Home/EU and overseas applicants.
** Applicants are expected to have an outstanding academic record, usually a 2.1 or first in their undergraduate degree and must normally possess or expect to be awarded a Merit or Distinction in their Masters Degree.

** New applicants to the MPhil/PhD programme (new admissions, starting in September 2019), must
i) have an offer of admission by the time the scholarship selection process starts at SOAS. It is expected that the scholarship selection will start on 14 February 2019.

ii) have demonstrated in the research proposal of their application for admission that their research is in the field of Indian art from 1500 up to the present day. Preference will be given to those who undertake research in the field of modern and contemporary Indian art.

iii) meet the English language condition of their offer of admission to study at SOAS as soon as possible but no later than 1 June 2019.

Application Procedure

Just follow the below steps to apply for the Saraswati Dalmia Scholarship 2019.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of SOAS University of London.
Step 2 : You must apply for this scholarship via the on-line scholarship application form

Step 3 : If you are a new applicant to the MPhil/PhD programme (new admissions, starting in September 2019), please complete the on-line scholarship application provided above.

Step 4 : If you are currently enrolled on your first year of the full-time (or part-time equivalent) MPhil/PhD at SOAS, please complete the on-line scholarship application.

Current SOAS MPhil/PhD students only :
** You will need two references, one should be from your supervisor.
** Please send the reference form to each of your referees.
** The reference form may be downloaded from the box at the top right

Step 5 : In addition to the online scholarship application, new applicants to the MPhil/PhD programme (new admissions, starting in September 2019), must ALSO submit a COMPLETE on-line application for admission by 3 January 2019.

Note :
1. A complete application for admission includes transcripts, an explanation of the grading system for any degrees obtained outside of the UK, two references, CV, research proposal and a personal statement.

2. The panel will be considering your scholarship application TOGETHER with your online application for admission.

Application Last Date

Scholarship applications must be received no later than the Last Date of 16:00 (UK local time) 31 January 2019. New applicants to the MPhil/PHD programme are advised to submit a complete on-line application for admission by 3 January 2019.
