PRL National Science Day 2020 Aruna Lal Scholarships Gujarat : Physical Research Laboratory

PRL Aruna Lal Scholarship

National Science Day will be celebrated at Physical Research Laboratory on Saturday, 29th February 2020. On this occasion, Aruna Lal Scholarships and other prizes will be awarded to meritorious students.

These Scholarships are awarded for a period of two years to 5 students of 11th Standard (Science Stream) subject to their satisfactory performance in science subjects during higher secondary.

This may be extended to 3rd year in case of those awardees who study in basic sciences after 12th standard.

Application Procedure

Principals of higher secondary schools of Gujarat are requested to nominate students of 11th standard (Science stream). Please register the school using the School Registration menu and subsequently nominate your student(s).

The schools having multiple mediums (English/ Gujarati/ Hindi) can register each medium separately. Each medium can nominate a maximum of seven students.

Steps to Apply?

Just follow the below steps to apply for the National Science Day 2020 Aruna Lal Scholarships.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad through the URL provided above.
Step 2 : Read the instructions carefully and click on the “School Registration” link in the menu bar.

Step 3 : If you had registered your school during earlier National Science Day celebrations then you need not to add your school again.
Step 4 : However, fresh registration will be required and login credentials of previous years will not work.

Step 5 : Fill the form with the required details and click on the “Submit” button.

Note :
Please remember and note the above school-id and password to login. This will be required for future correspondence with PRL

Screening Test

A screening test will be conducted on Sunday, 5th January 2020. Like previous years, the screening test will be held in Offline mode (i.e. OMR based exam) at 14 different centres across Gujarat.

However, this year, we are also conducting the screening test in Online mode. The school principal has to opt either Offline or Online mode of exam during school registration.

Test Information

Online

** The test will be of one hour duration.
** Entry of students appearing in the screening test will start from 10:00 AM onwards. No entry will be allowed after 11:15 AM.

** The online test will be held in the respective school that has opted for ONLINE exam mode.
** The student should carry the admit card/slip (duly signed by his/ her school Principal) along with school ID card.

Selection Procedure

Top 150 students in the merit list of the screening test will be selected for subsequent round of competitive events to be held at Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, on Saturday, 29th February 2020.

General Instructions

** The principal must choose the option of the preferred language (i.e. Gujarati or Hindi or English) of question paper. As the question paper will be available only on the chosen language.

** The students will not be allowed to reappear for the online exam in any circumstances.
** Any communication/argument during exam will not be entertained.

** Student must click on “Submit Exam” button at the end of his/her exam.
** School must ensure the fair conduct of exam. Mobile, tablets, calculator etc are not allowed.

** School should provide rough sheets to the students.
** The school must extend their support to the PRL observer who may visit during the exam.
