The key objective of the fellowship is to provide an opportunity for competent researchers to carry out independent research work in the advanced fields of science and technology
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the fellowship, an applicant must –
** Hold a PhD degree with an outstanding academic record.
** Have published research papers/patents to his/her credit.
** Be below 35 years of age.
Note : For persons belonging to AICTE/ UGC recognized teaching institutions or sponsored by DSIR recognized industrial organization, the upper age limit should be 45 years.
How to Apply?

Step 2 : To start with, please register using REGISTER link.
Step 3 : Fill the required details to complete the registration
Step 4 : After successful registration please login and fill up the forms under PROFILE, ACADEMIC & EXPERIENCE, PHOTO UPLOAD section
Step 5 : After freezing the online application, you will be able to generate a PDF document of the online application.
Step 6 : Place the printed online application form with supporting documents in an envelope and send it to

General Information
** Degree as referred above should have been awarded by a recognized University / Institute.
** Mere eligibility will not vest any right on any candidate for being called for interview. The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the process of selection / interview.
** The Institute reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for interview after shortlisting with reference to the candidate’s qualification, suitability, experience, requirement, etc.
** Canvassing in any manner would entail disqualification of the candidature.
** Any dispute with regard to the selection / recruitment process will be subject to Courts / Tribunals having jurisdiction over Kolkata
Fellowship Details
The fellowship is tenable for three years that covers –
** Monthly fellowship at a fixed rate depending on the experience of the candidate.
** Accommodation subject to the availability. (If accommodation is not available, the fellows will receive HRA as per the approved rates).
** Daily allowance for conference period as per applicable rates per day.
** A contingency grant of INR 25,000 per annum.
