To provide financial assistance to the students of University Departments and Colleges in Kerala to carry out Scientific Projects.
Who Can Apply?
Any science postgraduate student/student pursuing professional courses in science and technology, currently studying at university department or college in Kerala can apply for financial assistance under this scheme.
How to Apply?
Just follow the below steps to apply for the Student Project Scheme 2018.
Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment through the URL http://kscste.kerala.gov.in/
Step 2 : Then select Schemes & Programmes in the menu bar and Click HR – Development in S&T -> Student Project in the drop down list.
Step 3 : Read the instructions carefully and download the application form at the end of the page.

Step 4 : Fill the application form carefully with the required details and the completed application and supporting documents shall be send to the following address

Step 5 : A Soft Copy Of The Proposal, Final Project Report, SE &UC (After Completion Of The Work) Shall Also Be Send Through Email to spkscste [AT] gmail.com
Note :
1. The students are requested to submit a brief proposal in the “Prescribed Format” in the address mentioned above so as to enable, KSCSTE to scrutinize and sanction proposals recommended for funding by the committee.
2. Item wise financial estimates should be mentioned clearly in the proposal submitted, showing rates, quantity and total for each item
Features
1. During a financial year, the maximum number of student projects sanctioned to
** a college will be 15.
** a department will be 4.
** a principal investigator will be 2.
However, KSCSTE reserves the right to make relaxation in the above criteria in exceptional cases.
2. Student projects will be eligible for a maximum grant of Rs.15,000/-. The application should be forwarded by the guide/sponsor through the University Department/College Principal as the case may be.

Terms & Conditions
** Financial assistance will be released only after submitting the final report, statement of expenditure and utilization certificate after successful completion of the project.
** Utilization Certificate and Statement of Expenditure shall be furnished to The Director, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, Sasthra Bhavan, Pattom P.O, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 004 within three months after completion of the project.
** Under these rules financial assistance may be granted to the student pursuing M. Sc., Engineering (BTech, MTech), medical courses of Universities/Colleges in Kerala for conducting scientific research projects.
