Vahani invites the applications for scholarship to Undergraduate Degree Program 2019-20.

Vahani Scholarship is a non-profit organisation that recognises the importance of opening doors for the exceptionally brilliant children in India.
Application Process
For Schools & NGOs
** Applications are invited from residents of India via a nomination scheme. Schools and NGOs should send in their nominations for the Vahani scholarship.
** Each school can nominate five candidates. Please email info [AT] vahanischolarship.com for a nomination form
For Candidates
Step 1 : Candidate has to register online and fill the Application form.

Step 2 :
First, you have to Sign Up, and then Log In to fill the online application form. After successfully Logging In you will be redirected to the Dashboard where you can ‘Start Application’.
Step 3 :
The candidate is to read the Term and Conditions and the application form carefully – complete all parts of the form.
The form is divided into 5 sections :
** Personal Details
** Education Details
** College Preferences
** Essays
** Signatures/Income Certificate (Documents)
Step 4 :
The candidate can fill the preferred sections and save it in case it cannot be completed in one go. The candidate can later sign in again with the registered ID and Password to complete the form.
After filling all the sections correctly, the candidate has to save the final section and then submit the form. The candidate will receive an email on the registered email ID confirming the submission.
*The essay section in the form has to be filled by the candidate and candidate alone.
Important : The candidate will be required to provide personal information, including information on the financial condition of his/her family.
Selection Process
** Your application will be selected on the basis of your academic excellence, the consistency and quality of your application, and your economic hardship.
** If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an interview with your guardian at the beginning of January. Selected candidates will be notified by the end of January

Mentorship :
** Pre-university – Intensive training course consisting of personal skill development; application guidance; leadership development; English classes; computer classes; psychological counselling; cultural adjustment through training and exchange programmes

** During and post university – internship opportunities; career counsellors; pairing with working professionals; mentorship by older students; internal guidance; get-togethers; workshops; debates
Selection and Award :
** 20 candidates
** A balanced gender ratio
Important Dates
** Applications open – 1st September 2019
** Schools/ NGOs identify and nominate five Class XII students to Vahani Scholarship – November 1st, 2019
** Last Date for submitting application forms – December 1st, 2019
** Review and shortlist of candidates by the Vahani expert committee – December 1-20, 2019.
** Personal interviews of shortlisted candidates & verification of documents – January 1-3, 2019.
