Vahani invites the applications for scholarship to Undergraduate Degree Program 2020-21.
Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is open for students studying in the 12th grade and who will appear for the Board Examination next year, who have scored 85% or above in 10th and 11th Board Examinations and are applying for an undergraduate degree in India.
For Schools & NGOs
** Applications are invited from residents of India via a nomination scheme. Schools and NGOs should send in their nominations for the Vahani scholarship.
** Each school can nominate five candidates. Please email info [AT] vahanischolarship.com for a nomination form
Step 1 : Candidate has to register online and fill the Application form.

Step 2 :
First, you have to Sign Up, and then Log In to fill the online application form. After successfully Logging In you will be redirected to the Dashboard where you can ‘Start Application’.
Step 3 :
The candidate is to read the Term and Conditions and the application form carefully – complete all parts of the form.
The form is divided into 5 sections :
** Personal Details
** Education Details
** College Preferences
** Signatures/Income Certificate (Documents)
Step 4 :
The candidate can fill the preferred sections and save it in case it cannot be completed in one go. The candidate can later sign in again with the registered ID and Password to complete the form.
After filling all the sections correctly, the candidate has to save the final section and then submit the form. The candidate will receive an email on the registered email ID confirming the submission.
*The essay section in the form has to be filled by the candidate and candidate alone.
Important : The candidate will be required to provide personal information, including information on the financial condition of his/her family.
At the time of the interview the following documents are required
** Original 10th and 11th Marksheet
** Original income certificate issued that year
** Original certificates (those mentioned in the form by the applicant)
** 2 passport size photos
** Your application will be selected on the basis of your academic excellence, the consistency and quality of your application, and your economic hardship.
** If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an interview with your guardian at the beginning of January. Selected candidates will be notified by the end of January
** 1st September 2020 – Applications open
** 1st to 20th December 2020 – Review and shortlist of candidates by the Vahani expert committee
** 1st November 2020 – Schools/ NGOs identify and nominate five Class XII students to Vahani Scholarship
** 1st Week January – Personal interviews of shortlisted candidates & verification of documents
** 1st December 2020 – Deadline for submitting application forms
** January End – Final decisions released
1. Which universities/institutions are covered for the scholarship?
All top Government Universities or Government Recognised Universities/Colleges. In addition, the scholarship on very rare cases supports some exceptional Private Universities. The selected scholars are counselled during their admission process to identify the best course and college suitable for them. The scholars need to verify and get approval from the Vahani Scholarship Board before seeking admission in any university/college.
2. What does the scholarship support?
Vahani Scholarship will support the scholar’s full tuition fee for the entire duration of the course. The scholar receives a fixed stipend as travel allowance, College Text books, hostel/PG rent, in case the scholar moves out and food. In addition, the scholar receives a stipend to purchase a laptop and fully covered return journey back and forth from home once in a year.
3. Can the interviews be held by telephone or through video conference, in case the candidates are out of the station?
Shortlisted candidates are required to attend the personal interviews along with one guardian in Delhi and The travel expense is reimbursed. However, if the shortlisted candidate is not able to attend the interview, there are provisions for interviews through telephone or video conference.
4. Does the scholarship only apply to certain undergraduate degrees?
No, the scholarship apply’s to any full time under graduate degree. The scholar may choose any stream as per his/her interest.
