SCERT Kerala NMMS
State Council of Educational Research & Training, Kerala shall be conducting the National-Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination for the year 2019-20.

The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious student of economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at class VIII and encourage them to continue the study at secondary stage.
Who Can Apply?
** The candidate must have secured at least 55% marks (relaxable by 5% for reserved category) in Class VII Annual Examination or its equivalent.
** He / she must be studying in Class VIII during the academic session, 2019-2020 in Government / Government Aided (including Block Grant)/ Urban Local Body Schools of the state.
** His / her parental annual income from all sources should not be more than Rs.1,50,000.00 (Rupees One Lakh Fifty Thousand) only.
How to Apply?
Just follow the below steps to apply for the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination 2019-20.
Step 1 : Go to the official website of SCERT Kerala through the URL provided above.
Step 2 : Then click on the NMMS link under “Scholarship Exams”
Step 3 : Enter Enter the required details and Press submit button
Step 4 : Only after entering necessary corrections confirm your Application. After confirmation further editing is not possible.
Step 5 : Only after confirmation click submit and get the hard copy of your online Application.
Step 6 : The hard copy of the Online Application along with relevant certificates/documents shall be sent by post to the following address after obtaining the declaration/signature from the applicant as well as the Principal/ HM with seal before the last date.

Step 7 : The candidates are advised to keep a photo copy of the Hard copy of the Online application. They have to enter their Application ID and Application Number to get the Hall ticket from SCERT Website.
The Principal /HM should ensure that all the relevant certificates/documents are enclosed along with Application form.
One lakh scholarships @ Rs.12000/- per annum (Rs.1000/- per month) are awarded to selected students of class IX every year and their continuation/renewal in classes X to XII for study in State Government, Government-aided and Local body schools under the scheme.
