The Aditya Birla World Academy Scholarship Programme aims to enable all-round brilliant students to get access to high quality international education by providing financial aid.

This Scholarship Programme is extended only to students seeking admission into Grade 11 (IB DP/A Level).
The Aditya Birla World Academy Scholarship Programme was instituted in the Academic Year 2011-2012 by the Aditya Birla Education Trust. It recognizes and enables all-round meritorious students, to realize their dreams of accessing high quality international education, by providing financial aid.
This scholarship opportunity is extended to students seeking admission into Grade 11 (IB DP/A Level). This includes new applicants as well as the existing Grade 10 students of the Aditya Birla World Academy.
The Scholarship is provided for a period of 2 years. The decision to grant the Scholarship and the financial implications, are dependent on the financial need of the student’s family & the demonstrated excellence in the academic, co-curricular, extracurricular, discipline and leadership fronts of the student.
Scholarship details:
The scholarship will be provided for a period of 2 years and will cover all or part of the following:
** Tuition fee
** Admission fee
The decision to grant the scholarship and the amount of scholarship given would depend on:
** The financial need of the student’s family
** The academic and extra-curricular record of the student
Eligibility:
** Students applying for Grade 11 (IB DP/A Level) are eligible for this Scholarship Programme.
** This also includes the existing Grade 10 students currently studying at Aditya Birla World Academy.
Selection process for new applicants:
** Along with the ‘Application for Admission’ the new applicants will have to additionally fill the ‘Aditya Birla World Academy Scholarship Programme Application Form’ (SAF).
** Applicants will need to submit details of their academic performance of the last 2 years (mark sheets for Grade 8 and 9 and results available to date for Grade 10).
** All the applicants will go through the standard selection procedure, which will include assessments/placement tests.
** Based on the above standard selection procedure shortlisted applicants will have a family interview along with the parents.
** Based on results of the family interview and details in the SAF, parents of shortlisted scholarship applicants will undergo a second meeting with the Scholarship Committee for understanding the financial aspects.
** Subsequently there will be a meeting of the final shortlisted students and their parents with the Scholarship Committee and Trustees.
** Post the meeting, the scholarship decision will be announced
** The decision of the Scholarship Committee and Trustees will be final.
Notes:
The information provided in the SAF will carry significant weightage in the selection process and therefore providing false information may result in one or more of the following:
** Rustication from the school.
** Cancellation of admission.
** Disqualification for award of any future loan / scholarships.
** Recovery of the scholarship amount and or a penalty to total scholarship amount.
** Initiation of criminal proceedings.
Timelines:
Aug 19th, 2015: Last date for online submission of completed “Application Form” for admission and physical submission of “ABWA Scholarship Programme Application Form” (SAF). ABWA Scholarship Form to be submitted to Ms. Corryne at the Front Desk at School.
1st week of Sept 2015: Meeting with the Scholarship Committee
2nd week of Sept 2015: Meeting with Scholarship Committee and Trustees
3rd week of Sept 2015: Announcement of Scholarship Decision
