Pre-Matric Scholarship 2015-16 :

Applications are invited from students who are permanent residents in the state of Meghalaya studying within and outside the State for the year 2015-16.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minority Communities:

Students from Class I to Class X who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination both Fresh / Renewal are eligible to apply for Pre-Matric Scholarship for the year 2015-16 to be awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India. A Scholarship holder under these schemes will not avail any other scholarship/ stipends for pursuing the course. Selection of these students will be done strictly on Merit basis.

The Offiine application form from Class I – VIII for Pre-Matric Scholarship can be obtained either from the office of the District School Education Officer of their respective districts or Sub Divisional School Education Officer of their respective Sub-Division whom the office of the Director of Higher & Technical Education, Shillong and Application form for students of classes lX — X are to be submitted online in the dedicated scholarship portal under URL: www.scholarship.gov.in.

Both Online and Offline of duly filled-in application forms are to be submitted to the office of the Director of Higher &Technical Education, Meghalaya, Shillong alongwith all supporting documents through their respective institutions. Application form will be summarily reiected if the hard copy is not submitted to the office of the undersigned.

For Classes IX – X only Online application under this scheme will be accepted and no request for Offline application will be entertained. Details of Bank Account of the students should also be filled in the application form as provided in the prescribed space and it is advisable that students should open their account in the Nationalized Bank.

Annual income of Parents/Guardian – Not to exceed Rs.1,00,000.00 per annum.

Students should produce the Permanent Residential Certificate obtained from the Dy. Commissioner of the District in Which a candidate is a Permanent Resident of Meghalaya along with all the Certificates / Mark sheets etc. and the student should also produce by way of affidavit on a nonajudicial stamp paper, a certificate showing that he/shc belongs to the specified Minority Community i.e Christian/Sikh/ Buddhist/ Parsi/ Muslim.

Pre Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste Students :

Pre Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste students studying within the state of Meghalaya from class IX – X in Government schools/ institutes or private schools/ institutes recognized by appropriate authority of the State.

Annual income of Parents — Not to exceed Rs.2,00,000.00 per annum.

The head of the Institution are to collect the forms (Fresh and Renewal) from the office of the District School Education Officer of their respective districts or Sub Divisional School

Education Officer of their respective Sub-Division or from the office of the Director of Higher &
Technical Education, Addl. Secretariat Building Shillong Room No. 206(A). from 01st May 2015 onward.

All the Principals submitting the application forms should submit along with the soft Copy.

The last date of submission of application forms will be on or before the 31st July 2015. No application form will be entertained after the above specified date.
