NBSE Central Sector Scholarship Scheme

Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified information to all concerned for availing the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme (CSSS) as directed by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, National Scholarship Division.

Application for fresh as well as renewal of scholarship must be submitted through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) before 31st October 2019.

Who Can Apply?

All students who had applied on National Scholarship Portal and received/yet to receive the scholarship for Fresh 2018, 1st renewal 2017, 2nd renewal 2016 and 3rd renewal 2015 and students who are in the Top 20th percentile of the respective Boards and who wish to apply for Fresh 2019 scholarship are advised to apply on the National Scholarship Portal for fresh and respective renewal scholarship on or before the last date i.e. 31.10.2019.

How to Apply?

Just follow the below steps to apply for the CSSS 2019-20.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of National Scholarship Portal through the URL provided above.
Step 2 : New User click on the “New Registration” link and enter the required details to complete the registration.

Step 3 : After registration, login with your user id and password and select the scholarship scheme which you want to apply.
Step 4 : Fill the remaining details and upload the necessary documents to complete the application.

Step 5 : Already registered user can directly login with your user id & password and apply the scholarship.

Instructions

With effect from this financial year, Aadhaar seeding is mandatory for disbursement of all scholarship. Every beneficiary needs to have a separate bank account and get their Aadhaar number linked with their bank account number.

Principal/ Head of the institutions must register their institution first in the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) (scholarships.gov.in/). They are requested to inform and sensitize their eligible students for CSSS to apply through the NPS portal within the time frame.

The Head of the institution must verify properly before forwarding the application of the CSSS beneficiary students (new and renewal) within the stipulated time.

The Head of the institutions are further requested to furnish to the Board’s office (nagaboard[at]gmail.com) at the earliest the list of eligible beneficiaries of CSSS, who have their Aadhaar seeding. This is to enable the Board to submit the status report to the Ministry of Human Resources Development, New Delhi.
