National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship :

For Union Territory of Puducherry, 125 scholarships are allotted by the MHRD, New Delhi.

The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Written Examination is conducted by the Directorate of School Education, Puducherry launched by the MHRD, New Delhi for the Economically weaker section students to arrest their drop-outs.

As per the State Quota, students will be selected for the award of scholarship on the basis of the Merit List.

Eligibility to Appear:
1. Students should be studying in Class VIII State Government/ Government aided Schools only
2. Students should have scored atleast 50% of marks for SC/ST Category, 55% of marks for other Category in VII std Annual Examination.
3. The income of parents from all sources should not exceed Rs.1,50,000/- per annum.

Syllabus:
The whole portions of class IX and portions upto December of Class X in Language-l, Language —ll, Mathematics, Science and Social Science subject of State Board Syllabus.

Submission of Application :
The last date for submission of Filled-in application forms by the students to their schools Forms concerned is 01-09-2016.
Issue of Hall Tickets Students can collect the Hall Tickets from their respective schools from 27.10.2016 onwards.
