Vidya Scholarship :

Vidya International Charitable Trust in co operation with All India Council for Technical Education, PTA & VIDYA Alumni Association offer the following scholarship awards (111 Nos) to the meritorious students of Vidya Academy of Science & Technology (VAS) in the Academic Year 2015 – 16.

** Scholarships for socially and economically backward students.
** Course B.Tech LET MCA

Eligibility Criteria :
** Family income not more than Rs. 90,000/- per annum
** · Admission in Vidya College (VAS) through Management or Merit Quota of Kerala Government Entrance Exam.

Vidya Excellence Full Fee Scholarships for Entrance toppers :
** Course B.Tech
** Eligibility Criteria 1-2000 Rank holders in Kerala Government Entrance Exam· Admission in Vidya College (VAS).

Vidya Competence 90% Fee Scholarships for Entrance achievers :
** Course B.Tech
** Eligibility Criteria 2001-3000 Rank holders in Kerala Government Entrance Exam.

VIDYA – AICTE Full Fee Waiver Scholarships for Girls, Handicapped and Weaker Section :
** Course B.Tech
** Eligibility Criteria Admission under Govt. Quota – Family Income not exceeding Rs.4.5 lakhs.

Vidya Merit cum means Half Fee Scholarships :
** Course B.Tech LET MCA
** Eligibility Criteria
· Family income not more than Rs. 1,50,000/- per annum
· Admission in Vidya College (VAS) through Merit Quota of Kerala Government Entrance Exam.

Vidya Full Fee Arts & Sports Scholarship :
** Course B.Tech
** Eligibility Criteria National level achievers in Arts/Sports events.

Vidya Half Fee Arts & Sports Scholarship :

Vidya PTA Merit cum Means Scholarship by PTA :

** Eligibility Family income not more than Rs.150000/- per annum

Vidya Alumni Merit cum Means Scholarship by Vidya Alumni Association :

** Eligibility Family income not more than Rs.150000/- per annum

Vidya Principal’s Scholarship for needy students :

** Eligibility Based on academic & income merit

Vidya Full Fee Scholarship for wards of Staff :

** Eligibility Eligible for wards of staff based on academic & income merit

Vidya Half Fee Scholarship for wards of Staff :

Additional Requirements :
Vidya Merit-cum-Means Full Fee Scholarship :
The following documents should be submitted along with the application. :
1.Income Certificate from revenue authorities.
2.Recommendation from Local MP / MLA or any Vidya Trust Member, certifying the eligibility of the applicant.

Fee Exemption :
** Awardees of Full Fee Scholarship will be getting Full Fee Exemption.
** Awardees of Half Fee Scholarship will be getting Half Fee Exemption.

Hostel Facility :
For deserving students of Full Fee Scholarship winners (Vidya Merit-cum-Means Full Fee Scholarship, Vidya EXCELLENCE Full Fee Scholarship for Entrance toppers, Vidya Merit- cum Means Full Fee Arts & Sports Scholarship) from outside Thrissur District will be provided free boarding & lodging, subject to availability.

Monetary Disbursement Of The Scholarship :
The student selected for Vidya Scholarships other than ‘Vidya Tuition Fee Waiver’, ‘Vidya Competence 90%’ and ‘Vidya Excellence’ shall avail of education loan from any bank of his/her choice. The Trust shall reimburse to the bank, the loan amount with interest accrued, if any, provided the student attains success in all papers in the University examinations and aggregate mark not less than 60%.
If the student fails to meet this condition, the Trust will cease reimbursement of the loan, and thereby the student shall redeem the loan as per the terms and conditions of the concerned bank.
