Post Matric Scholarship:

Applications are invited from the candidates who are Indian citizens and residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry and who have secured at least 60% of marks in the qualifying examinations of Matriculation/SSLC in the academic year 2015-2016 for sanction of the following scholarship in the year 2016-2017.

For application and further details, the students may contact their Head of Institution. Amount of Scholarship under the Pondicherry State Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is Rs.600l per annum @ Rs.60/- per month for 10 months for day scholars and Rs.1,000/- per annum @ Rs.100/- per month for 10 months for hostellers will be granted to Higher Secondary students.

General Conditions of Eligibility
a) The candidates must be citizens of India and belong to the Union Territory of Puducherry either by birth or by domicile.
b) The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in their first attempt only will be eligible for consideration.
c) The candidates are to be the students of Matriculation / SSLC schools.
d) The candidates who have appeared as well as passed the qualifying examination in a year prior to 2015-2016 will not be eligible for consideration.
e) The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination tn first class or secured not less than 60% of marks in the qualifying examinations of SSLC/Matriculation are eligible for consideration.
f) Income of their parents/guardians should not exceed to Rs.75,000f per annum.

Mode of Applying:
** The candidates studying in the Government Institutions of the Union Territory of Puducherrywhowish to applyforfresh scholarship for the year 2015-2016 may obtain the application forms from the respective Head of Institutions by remitting Rs.2/- and the students of Aided and Private Schools may get the application forms from the cashier of this Directorate on remitting Rs.2/- .

** The applications should be submitted to the Head of Institutions on or before 20-9-2016. Applications received after 30-09-2016 from the school concerned will not be considered on any account. lncomplete applications will be rejected without any consideration.

** Students should take utmost care in filling up the forms to avoid rejections and they should see that their applications are received by their Heads of Institutions / Directorate of School Education within the scheduled time

Renewal of Scholarships:
To get the Scholarship on renewal, the students should have been secured not less than 50% of marks in Xl std. Further the Head of Educational Institutions are requested to collect the Annual Progress Report forms from this Directorate for renewal of Scholarship for the year2015-2016. The last date for submitting the renewal proposal is fixed as 30.09.2016.
