The IET India Scholarship Award :

The IET India Scholarship is a Prestige Award that has been designed to reward and celebrate creativity, excellence, innovation and leadership among undergraduate engineering students.

Eligibility for IET India Scholarship Award 2016:
The IET India Scholarship Award 2016 will be open to students of 2nd and 3rd year B.Tech programmes Scholarship is also open for Lateral entry students who join B.Tech programme in 2nd year.

Eligibility Guidelines:
** Any second and third year full time regular UG Engineering programme student from an AICTE/UGC approved institution
** All regular credit courses must have been cleared in a single attempt by the applicant.
** UG marks should aggregate to at least 60% in aggregate for the semesters cleared so far or corresponding to CGPA of at least 6.5 on a 10 point scale.
** Higher Secondary (or equivalent) marks should be above 60% or of equivalent grade.
** There is no age limit for the applicant.
** Application is open for all IET members and non- members and for all branches of engineering as recognised by the AICTE/UGC.
** Students from AICTE/UGC approved Institutions are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Scholarship Amount :
The scholarship sum of Rs 8,00,000 (Indian Rupees Eight Lakh Only) is a cumulative amount to be awarded collectively to all the winners across the regional and national levels. Therefore, it does not refer to the entitlement of any single individual or group of individuals. The specific entitlement of winners of particular categories can be refereed at Scholarships Prize Summary Further, all scholarship amounts awarded must be utilized only for their intended purpose.

Scholarship Decisions :
The jury panel will have final discretionary rights in awarding scholarships and all such decisions taken by them will be final and binding. No decision of the jury panel can either be appealed or questioned by any eligible candidate. Further, the jury panel will not be mandated to offer any reasons for not awarding scholarships to any individual or group of eligible candidates.

Withdrawal of Scholarship :
The IET reserves the right to withdraw a scholarship awarded to any eligible candidate and seek repayment of any monies already paid, through all legal means, if such eligible candidate
(a) is found to have misled the IET (or any of its agents or representatives), about any aspect of his/her eligibility
(b) if it is found that there is any discrepancy or misrepresentation in any of the documentation/information provided by such eligible candidate to the IET
(c) fails to observe any written or oral instruction issued by the IET in relation to the scholarship or (d) is convicted of any offence involving moral turpitude.
