About the scheme :
This scheme operational since 2002, is to promote and support MSc/M.Tech rank holders from the Universities in Kerala in Ph. D. work. KSCSTE will notify in the form of advertisements in newspapers inviting applications from qualified candidates for the award of Research Fellowships of the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment, an autonomous body of Government of Kerala. There will be 100 research fellowships in the subject areas namely Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Environmental Sciences.
Objectives :
** To provide the research training and to develop careers as scientists.
** To motivate fellows and impart the skills needed for them to become lifelong learners and for them to develop leadership skills and work effectively
Who can apply :
** Candidates should have awarded MSc/M-Tech degree in any of the subjects listed above in the current year and two previous years.
** Candidates should be from among the 1st ten rank /position holders from any of the Universities in Kerala.
** Age should not be more than 35 years as on 1 st January.
Features
Rs 16,000/- pm for the first two years and Rs 18,000/- for the 3rd years. The fellowship will carry an annual contingency grant of Rs 20,000/- Plus H.R.A.
Duration
The period of fellowship shall be for a period not exceeding three years
How to apply
** Eligible candidates may submit the application in the prescribed format with copies of certificates providing age, educational qualifications, research experience if any and rank position in the Masters Degree. The application should contain mailing address, contact number and e-mail id.
** Full set of application in duplicate should reach the Executive Vice President, Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment, Sastra Bhavan, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram.
