What is SSP Vidyasiri-Food and Accommodation Scholarship?

Vidyasiri-Food and Accommodation Scholarship Scheme (VFAS) is specifically designed for students from backward classes pursuing post-matric courses in government, local, aided, and recognized private institutions affiliated with statutory universities in Karnataka. The scheme requires students to link their Aadhaar number to their bank account. Last date of application is 30th September 2026.

Eligibility of SSP Vidyasiri-Food and Accommodation Scholarship

** Caste: Students belonging to OBC category only
** Family annual income : <= Rs. 2.5 lakhs for Category 1 students and <=1 lakhs for other categories
** Course Type :All
** College Type :All except evening college and KSOU admitted students
** College Seat Type : Excluding students admitted through Management, ComedK, Pvt seat in Pvt college, Students in KSOU and Evening colleges
** Promotion status : Promoted to present year
** Pass in All Subjects in previous year: Must be passed in all subjects of previous year
** Year repeater (Detained/Discontinued): Not eligible
** Dayscholar / Hosteller: Not allotted hostel seat in SC/ ST/ OBC/ Minority hostels
** Fresh/ Renewal : All
** Sibling criteria : Only 2 boy children per family are eligible (no limit on girl child)
** Previous year percentage : 55% for Category 1 and 65% for other categories
** Entry of OTR Number: Mandatory

2. Enter the name of the student as in Aadhaar
3. Enter the gender of the student as in Aadhaar
4. Enter the mobile number of the student / parent
5. Enter the e-mail address of the student (not mandatory)

Understand the process of Application Submission (Application is common for all schemes):
1. Enter Class 10 (SSLC / CBSE / ICSE / KOS) Registration Number of the student
2. Enter the RD number of Caste, Income, EWS certificate issued by Revenue Department (whichever is applicable)
3. Enter the Unique Disability ID (UDID) of the student issued by Govt of India (If the student is a person with Disabilities)
4. Enter University/ Educational Board Registration number of the student for the current course
5. Enter the Counselling number, year and course details (if the student is admitted to any professional course through counselling)
6. Enter Class 12 (SSLC / CBSE / ICSE) Registration Number of the student (only for 1st year students studying Undergraduate courses)
7. Enter previous academic year University / Board Registration Number and other details to fetch result details (For students other than SC and ST category)
8. Student must upload documents for e-attestation from concerned department officer (if applicable) (Check out the list for applicability to upload documents and concerned approving authority)
9. Select whether the student is a Dayscholar or a Hosteller
10. Enter One Time Registration (OTR) number issued by National Scholarship Portal (only for SC, ST and OBC students)
