What is SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship?
The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship is one of India’s largest scholarship initiatives, supporting meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds from Class 9 all the way to study abroad. It ensures that financial challenges never hinder access to quality education. Last date of application is 4th September 2026.

Who Can Apply For SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship?
School Students (Class 9 to 12):
** Open to Indian nationals pursuing an MBA or PGDM programme at an Indian Institute of Management.
** Applicants must have secured at least 75% marks or an equivalent 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year or qualifying examination.
** Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories will receive a 10% relaxation in the minimum academic requirement.
** The applicant’s total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
** Applicants must possess a valid CAT scorecard or percentile document from the current or previous academic year, wherever applicable.
Undergraduate Students :
** Open to Indian nationals pursuing an undergraduate degree programme at an eligible institution in India.
** The applicant’s institution must fulfil at least one of the following conditions:
** Hold a valid NAAC accreditation of Grade ‘A’ or above, or
** Be ranked among the Top 300 institutions in the Overall Category of the NIRF 2025-26 rankings.
** Applicants must have secured at least 75% marks or an equivalent 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year or qualifying examination.
** Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories will receive a 10% relaxation in the minimum academic requirement.
** The applicant’s total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
** Students enrolled in diploma programmes are not eligible under this category.
Postgraduate Students :
** Open to Indian nationals pursuing a master’s degree or another eligible postgraduate programme at a recognised institution in India.
** The applicant’s institution must fulfil at least one of the following conditions:
** Hold a valid NAAC accreditation of Grade ‘A’ or above, or
** Be ranked among the Top 300 institutions in the Overall Category of the NIRF 2025-26 rankings.
** Applicants must have secured at least 75% marks or an equivalent 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year or qualifying examination.
** Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories will receive a 10% relaxation in the minimum academic requirement.
** The applicant’s total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
** Students enrolled in diploma or certificate programmes are not eligible under this category.
Medical Students :
** Open to Indian nationals pursuing an MBBS programme at an eligible medical institution in India.
** Applicants must be studying at:
** An All India Institute of Medical Sciences, or
** A medical institution ranked among the Top 50 medical colleges under the applicable NIRF rankings.
** Applicants must have secured at least 75% marks or an equivalent 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year or qualifying examination.
** Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories will receive a 10% relaxation in the minimum academic requirement.
** The applicant’s total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
** Applicants must possess a valid NEET scorecard or rank document from the current or previous academic year, wherever applicable.
IIT Students :
** Open to Indian nationals pursuing an undergraduate degree programme at an Indian Institute of Technology.
** Applicants must have secured at least 75% marks or an equivalent 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year or qualifying examination.
** Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories will receive a 10% relaxation in the minimum academic requirement.
** The applicant’s total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
** Applicants must possess a valid JEE Advanced scorecard or rank card from the current or previous academic year, wherever applicable.
IIM Students :
** Open to Indian nationals pursuing an MBA or PGDM programme at an Indian Institute of Management.
** Applicants must have secured at least 75% marks or an equivalent 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year or qualifying examination.
** Applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories will receive a 10% relaxation in the minimum academic requirement.
** The applicant’s total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
** Applicants must possess a valid CAT scorecard or percentile document from the current or previous academic year, wherever applicable.
Overseas Studies :
** Open to Indian nationals belonging to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe categories.
** Applicants must be pursuing or have secured admission to a master’s degree or another eligible higher education programme at an overseas institution.
** The overseas institution must be ranked among the Top 200 institutions under the QS World University Rankings or Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025-26.
** Applicants must have secured at least 75% marks or an equivalent 7.0 CGPA in the previous qualifying examination.
** A 10% relaxation in the minimum academic requirement will apply to eligible SC and ST applicants.
** The applicant’s total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 6,00,000.
** Applicants must possess a valid offer or acceptance letter from the overseas institution.
** Applicants may be required to submit valid standardised entrance examination scores, such as GRE, GMAT, MCAT, LNAT or LSAT, depending on the course and institution.
** Applicants may also be required to submit an accepted English-language proficiency score, such as IELTS or TOEFL.
Benefits of SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship
School Students (Class 9 to 12):
Selected students pursuing an MBA or PGDM programme at an IIM can receive financial assistance of up to INR 5,00,000 per academic year.
Undergraduate Students :
Selected undergraduate students can receive financial assistance of up to INR 75,000 per academic year.
Postgraduate Students :
Selected postgraduate students can receive financial assistance of up to INR 1,50,000 per academic year.
Medical Students :
Selected students pursuing an MBBS programme can receive financial assistance of up to INR 2,00,000 per academic year.
IIT Students :
Selected students pursuing undergraduate studies at an IIT can receive financial assistance of up to INR 2,00,000 per academic year.
IIM Students :
Selected students pursuing an MBA or PGDM programme at an IIM can receive financial assistance of up to INR 5,00,000 per academic year.
Overseas Studies :
Selected students pursuing eligible higher education programmes overseas can receive financial assistance of up to INR 15,00,000 per academic year.
