What is ICAR NTS-UG National Talent Scholarship?

The ICAR National Talent Scholarship (NTS) for Undergraduate (UG) students is a financial assistance program awarded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. It provides ₹3,000 per month to meritorious students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in agriculture and allied disciplines. Last date of application is 31st October 2026.

Eligibility of ICAR NTS-UG National Talent Scholarship

National Talent Scholarship (NTS) of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research is available to a student pursuing Bachelor degree programme admitted through CUET (ICAR-UG) under ICAR All India Quota (AIQ) seats in the Agricultural Universities located outside of his State of domicile.The continuation of the NTS-UG scholarship is subject to good conduct, punctuality and minimum prescribed performance [OGPA/CGPA of minimum 7.00 OUT of 10.00 (6.50/10.00 for SC/ST)].

Note:
Students admitted through CUET (ICAR-UG) under ICAR All India Quota (AIQ) seats in the Agricultural Universities under IC-AU System are only eligible. All those candidates satisfying the condition of non-domicile criteria in their admission are eligible

Amount of ICAR NTS-UG National Talent Scholarship

NTS-UG is awarded @ Rs.3000/- per month to UG students for entire duration of degree programme subject to minimum qualifying CGPA.

How To Apply For ICAR NTS-UG National Talent Scholarship?

Candidates who appeared and admitted through CUET (ICAR-UG) under ICAR AIQ Seats are automatically eligible for the said scholarship.Award letter issued by the ICAR may be required.

Steps:
Step-1: Visit the applicant Login page of the National Scholarships Portal Enter your One Time Registration (OTR) number and password.
Step-2: Type the Captcha and click “Login”.
Step-3: On the next screen, provide the OTP received on your registered mobile number. You will be directed to the Password Reset screen. Create a new password and confirm.
Step-4: Click “Submit”. You will be directed to the “Applicant’s Dashboard”.
Step-5: On the left pane, click “Application Form”. The fields marked as * are compulsory. Fill in the details and upload the documents.
Step-6: You can either click on “Save as Draft” to complete the application later. Else, click “Final Submit” to submit the application.
