What is Odisha Post Matric Scholarship?

Post Matric Scholarship 2026 is povided by Odisha ST&SC and MBC Welfare Department. Scholarship amount will be provided as per course duration (Per year). Target number of scholarship is as per applications received. Avail the scholarship only once in a year. Last date to apply for scholarship is 31st January 2026.

 General/ technical/ professional post-matriculation courses Parents/ guardian’s annual income from all sources shall not exceed Rs. 2,50,000 (Two Lakh Fifty Thousand)
  • Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
  • Shall be pursuing studies in any Government, Aided or Private colleges/ institutions recognized by competent authority.
  • Scholarship is not available for same stage of education in different subject/ stream for example +2 Science after +2 Arts, B.Com after B.A. , M.A in one subject after M.A in other subject, MBBS after B.Tech.
  • Correspondence/ online courses (distant and continuous) in Central/ State universities only are eligible for Scholarship.
  • In case of OBC/ SEBC and EBC students, Scholarship Award will be subject to at least 50% marks in last qualifying exam
  • Scholarship amount will be disbursed only in Aadhaar seeded bank account of the students

  • Income certificate of parent/ guardian
  • Copy of student’s Aadhaar
  • Legible copy of the first page of bank-passbook
  • Passport size photograph of student
  • Divyang Certificate in case of differently able students
  • Hostel Bonafide Certificate (In case of boarders)
  • Institute Declaration Certificate (In case of Out of state applicants)
  • All Academic Certificates (Staring from Matriculation till last course completed)
  • Mark sheets of last exam passed
  

How To Apply For Odisha Post Matric Scholarship?

To apply the Odisha Post Matric Scholarship, eligible students need to follow the below given steps:

Steps:
Step-1 : Register at https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in/, if you are new user. Existing user can click on the login button.
Step-2 : Enter the Aadhaar number and Proceed.
Step-3 : Login in with your User ID and Password to apply for the scheme.
Step-4 : Click login link at the portal and enter User ID and password to apply the scholarship.
Step-5 : Please choose the Department name and Scheme name.
Step-6 : Provide all necessary details like student, academic, eligibility, and bank information.
Step-7 : Click on the “Save as draft” button to draft the information or click on “Next” button to save and proceed the scholarship form.
Step-8 : The preview of the completed form will appear on the page. Download the forms and take its print out.
