What is Forest Maharashtra Foreign Scholarship Program?
The Mangrove Foundation under the aegis of the Revenue and Forest Dept., Govt. of Maharashtra is implementing a scholarship scheme meritorious students from the State of Maharashtra, who will be pursuing a Post Graduate degree or a Ph.D. degree and has secured admission in any Foreign University/Institution which is ranked in the top 300 of THE (Times Higher Education) ranking system or in top 300 of QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) ranking system.

Eligibility of Forest Maharashtra Foreign Scholarship
Students from the State of Maharashtra, who will be pursuing a Post Graduate degree or a Ph.D. degree and has secured admission in any Foreign University/Institution can apply for this scholarship.

The Conditional Offer Letter has been received from a foreign educational institution. Will it be considered acceptable?
No. only unconditional offer letter received from institute will be acceptable
Are girls selected for scholarships?
Yes (30% seats are reserved for female students)
Is caste certificate mandatory?
No
Which educational institution abroad is required to get admission in to get the scholarship?
Candidates should be admitted to an educational institution which is listed in the top 300 of THE / QS world ranking under the subject Earth and Marine Science
Which courses are given scholarships under this Scheme?
Scholarships are awarded for Master’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma and PhD courses.
What income related documents will be required to be submitted to apply for a scholarship if the student or parent or both are employed?
If the student or parent or both are employed, their income tax returns, Form No. 16 and certificate of income of the family for the previous financial year from the competent authority (not less than the tahsildar or naib tahsildar).
What help will the government provide to obtain passports and visas?
It will be the responsibility of the student to obtain a passport and visa.
If the student is not working, what documents related to income will have to be submitted?
Certificate of all modes of income of the family for the previous financial year from the competent authority (not below the rank of tahsildar or naib tahsildar).
Are students who do not have a state domicile certificate or their parents eligible for the scheme?
No.
