What is Minority Maharashtra’s Foreign Scholarship Program?

1. Is there an income requirement to apply for a scholarship?
The annual income of the parents (mother and father) of the students ( mother and father) / family and if the student is working, including his own income, will be Rs. Not more than Rs 8.00 lakh.
2. Which courses are given scholarships under this scheme?
Scholarships are awarded for Master’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma and PhD courses.
3. Are scholarships given for degree courses?
No.
4. Are scholarships given for executive master’s degree or executive master’s diploma and part-time courses?
No.
5. Are girls selected for scholarships?
Yes
6. Which educational institution abroad is required to get admission in to get the scholarship?
Candidates should be admitted to an educational institution located below the updated QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World Ranking 200.
7. Is caste certificate mandatory?
Yes
8. The Conditional Offer Letter has been received from a foreign educational institution. Will it be considered acceptable?
If the conditional offer letter received from the institute is about the advance amount, the student will be required to demand an advance. No other conditional offer letter will be assumed.
9. What help will the government provide to obtain passports and visas?
It will be the responsibility of the student to obtain a passport and visa.
10. What income related documents will be required to be submitted to apply for a scholarship if the student or parent or both are employed?
If the student or parent or both are employed, their income return, Form No. 16 and certificate of income of the family for the previous financial year from the competent authority (not less than the tahsildar or naib tahsildar).
11. If the student is not working, what documents related to income will have to be submitted?
Certificate of all modes of income of the family for the previous financial year from the competent authority (not below the rank of tahsildar or naib tahsildar).
12. Are students who do not have a state domicile certificate or their parents eligible for the scheme?
No.
