What is Tribal Welfare One Time Financial Support?
One Time Financial Support (OTFS) for economically weaker meritorious ST students pursuing different professional and other courses in Government recognised Institutes/college, the Tribal Welfare Department, Govt. of Tripura is hereby inviting applications from Eligible and Interested ST students through Web Application portal https://bms.tripura.gov.in. The scheme shall not debar the eligible candidate from getting Post Matric Scholarship as per the norms.
Financial Support of OTFS Scheme
Financial Support to be provided under the Scheme to selected students
The selected students will be extended the following benefits-
i. Lump sum financial support of Rs. 1,00,000/-(Rupees One lakh) shall be sanctioned in 2(two) installment. (Rs. 50000/- in 1st installment to be released immediately after selection whereas 2nd installment will be paid on production of pass certificates of 1st year course).
ii. The scheme shall not debar the eligible candidate from getting Post Matric Scholarship as per the norms.
Eligibility Criteria of One Time Financial Support
The Eligibility Criteria for the ST students are as given below: –
i. Must be domicile of Tripura.
ii. Must belong to ST Community.
iii. Must have passed Class X (Madhyamik) for Pre 12 Courses /XII (H.S level) for Post 12 courses during the year 2022 with at least 45% Marks.
iv. Fresh Applicant in the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) under Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST students for the session 2022-23 and have course year-1 and have been verified at all verification levels (Institute, District and State level) in the NSP portal.
v. Candidates who have taken admission in any Professional courses listed in Annexure-A and Annexure-B during the academic year 2022-23 and having duration of course not less than 2 years.
vi. Courses listed in Annexure-C are not Recommended under the OTFS Scheme of Tribal Welfare Department.
How to Apply for OTFS Scheme?
i. All the Eligible students will receive an auto generated message from the portal.
ii. Eligible students must visit https://bms.tripura.gov.in. Link of the same will be available in the Departmental Website (twd.tripura.gov.in).
iii. Select the Scheme “One-Time Financial Support for Economically Weaker Meritorious ST students”.
iv. Apply the Scheme using Family Ration Card number and select Member Id of the application.
v. The Portal will auto-fetch the National Scholarship Portal Data and only a minimum data such as Marks obtained in Class X or Equivalent Examination and Class XII or equivalent Examination.
vi. Student must verify their Bank details while applying in the Portal and submit the application in the Portal.
General Instruction of One Time Financial Support
i. All the eligible students will receive an auto generated message from the portal.
ii. Eligible students must visit https://bms.tripura.gov.in/bmscitizenportal/login.jsp. Or Click on the Link available in the Departmental Website (twd.tripura.gov.in) with the Caption “Apply for One Time Financial Support-2023 (Fresh Application”.
iii. Register by using Mobile number and Email Address in the Portal.
iv. Select “Education Tab” and Enroll in the Scheme “One-Time Financial Support for Economically Weaker Meritorious ST students” being implemented by Tribal Welfare.
v. Fill the form using Ration Number, NSP Id (TR202223XXXXXX) and other Scheme Specific data and documents.
vi. The Portal will auto-fetch the National Scholarship Portal Data and only a minimum data such as Marks obtained in Class X or Equivalent Examination and Class XII or equivalent Examination.
vii. Student must verify their Bank details while applying in the Portal and submit the application in the Portal.
