What is Skyroot Aerospace Kalpana Fellowship?
The Kalpana Fellowship Scheme 2023-2024 is a first-of-its-kind Fellowship in the space sector of India introduced by Skyroot Aerospace, aimed at empowering and supporting women pursuing careers in aerospace engineering. Inspired by the legacy of the woman astronaut Kalpana Chawla, the program offers fellowship, training opportunities, real-world experience, expert mentorship, and exposure to cutting-edge technology at Skyroot Aerospace. Last Date of Fellowship is 20th March 2024.

Stipend Details of Kalpana Fellowship
Candidates selected for Kalpana Fellowship will be paid a fixed monthly allowance for one year while working at Skyroot.
Stipend will be as follows:
B. Tech Final Year Students – 30,000 INR Per month
M. Tech Final Year Students – 35,000 INR per month
B. Tech Freshers who have completed studies – 50,000 INR per month
M. Tech Freshers who have completed studies – 55,000 INR per month
PhD Completed – 80,000 INR per month
Eligibility Criteria of Kalpana Fellowship
The fellowship is open for Indian nationals alone. Candidates who are undergoing their final year of college will have to secure written approval from their college Registrar permitting them to join Skyroot as a full-time Fellow, if selected. Selected candidates, must be willing to spend regular working hours for one full year at Skyroot Max-Q campus in Hyderabad.
** Final Year B. Tech/ M. Tech/ PhD degrees and specializations related to Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Chemical and Electrical Engineering.
** Recent B. Tech/ M. Tech/ PhD graduates (freshers) in the above streams with no professional experience, within 2 years from the successful date of completion of studies.
Selection Process of Kalpana Fellowship
** The candidate selection process will undergo thorough evaluation across three stages to identify and assess the mental and academic competencies essential for a Kalpana Fellow to realize the envisioned goals of the fellowship.
** The selection process for Kalpana Fellowships will be competitive and is based on merit, seeking to identify the brightest and most passionate individuals who embody the spirit of Kalpana Chawla.
