What is Goa Merit Based Award Scholarship Scheme?

Objective of the “Merit Based Award” and recognition of high performance in the Board Exams of SSC and HSSC in the State of Goa scheme is to motivate students by giving Merit Based Award on the benchmark of the performance and to provide financial incentives to high performing students are economically weak. Merit Based Award for ST students whose Annual Family Income is less than Rs. 5.00 lakh per annum. Last Date of Scholarship is 31st December 2023.

Eligibility of Merit Based Award Scholarship

1. Felicitation of Rank Holder Students:
Under the Schemes, amongst the ST students, First Five Rank Holders of SSC, First Five rank Holder of HSSC board exams (separately for all the streams of Science, Commerce, Arts and Vocational) will be felicitated in public function. There are no restrictions on the basis of income ceiling.

2. Merit Based Award for ST students whose Annual Family Income is less than Rs. 5.00 lakh per annum having secured the requisite bench mark percentage.

Assistance of Merit Based Award Scholarship

** The Benefit is given as ₹ 20,000 for the first five rank holders of SSC &HSSC Boards Exam and
** ₹5,000/- for 50% to 59.99% of SSC & HSSC Board exams
** ₹ 8,000/- for 60% to 69.99% of SSC & HSSC Board exams
** ₹ 10,000/- for 70% to 74.99% of SSC & HSSC Board exams
** ₹ 15,000/- will be given for 75% &above of SSC & HSSC Board exams

How to Apply for Merit Based Award Scholarship?

1. Register yourself (URL: https://cmscholarship.goa.gov.in/fRegister.aspx)
2. Select Scheme from eligible scholarship scheme.
3. Click on Fresh Application under Apply section (On side navigation bar)
4. Upload All required documents (Details are available on portal under Schemes Details page)
5. Edit option is available to students till they submit application to school/institution.
6. After Successful Submission, School will verify the application and submit to directorate for further scrutiny.
7. In case of Issue in application form or documents uploaded, school/institution can send back application to student for necessary corrections and resubmission.

Documents Required of Merit Based Award Scholarship

Note: All documents are required in digital format. Each document size should not to be 200kb.
** Copy of Caste Certificate issued by Competent Authority.
** Copy of Income Certificate issued by Competent Authority.
** Copy of Mark Sheet
** Receipt of Fees Paid
** Copy of Bank Pass Book(Nationalized Bank Accounts recommended)
** Copy of Aadhar Card along with consent form.

Last date for application submission 31st December 2023
Last date for INO Level Verification 31st January 2024
Last date for Second Level Verification 28th February 2024
