What is Tripura Pre Matric Scholarship for OBC?

Pre Matric Scholarshi for OBC Students 2023-24 is sponsored by Tripura Welfare of OBC Department. The scholarship will be provided for students studying in Government Schools only. Students attendance record not less than 75% in the previous year. These scholarships shall be available for studies in India only and will be awarded by the Government of State/Union Territory. Last Date of Scholarship is 31st December 2023.

Eligibility of Pre Matric Scholarship

Students fulfilling the Scheme guidelines of Pre Matric Scholarship issued by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India are eligible to apply for these scholarships. These are available on the Home Page of the Portal. The scholarship will be provided for students studying in Government Schools only. Students attendance record not less than 75% in the previous year.

How to Apply for Pre Matric Scholarship?

** Students applying for scholarship for the first time (Fresh Students) need to “Register” on the portal as fresh applicant by providing accurate and authenticated information as printed on their documents in the “Student Registration Form”.

** The registration form is required to be filled by parents / guardian of students who are below the age of 18 years on the date of registration.

Before initiating registration process, students / Parents / guardian are advised to keep the following documents handy:
1. Educational documents of student.
2(a). For major applicants – Aadhaar will be mandatory for the applicants who have attained 18 years of age on the date of registration. Applicant, who have not yet been assigned Aadhaar will be required to enroll for Aadhaar and then register using Enrolment Identification (EID).

However, her registration will be provisional and attain final status on submission of Aadhaar and completion of Aadhaar based eKYC, which will be a prerequisite for release of her scholarship.

2(b). For minor applicants – All applicants, who have not attained the age of 18 years on the date of registration, shall register using Aadhaar with the consent of their parents/legal guardians on voluntary basis. In case Aadhaar has not been assigned to such applicants, they can register using EID. However, in all cases, where Aadhaar/EID of the minor applicant is not provided, Aadhaar of at least one parent/legal guardian will be required.

In such cases, the parent/legal guardian will be treated as the Beneficiary. Further, it will be mandatory for students, who register without Aadhaar, to complete their Aadhaar based eKYC on completion of 18 years of age for continuation of registration/ scholarship.

3. In case of EID, no disbursal of scholarship would happen till Aadhaar is submitted in a given timeframe.
4. Payment will be made in Aadhaar Seeded account.
5. If Institute/School is different from domicile state of the applicant, then Bonafide student certificate from Institute / School.
6. Name, gender, DoB must be same as in student’s Aadhaar.
7. Name, gender must be same as in parent’s Aadhaar.
8. After filling the application form Student must do their eKYC.

Can I edit the information already saved and up-to what time?

Answer: All the information can be edited till the closure of application form. After final submission, your application will be forwarded to the next level and application hereby cannot be edited.

Which fields in the application form are mandatory?

Answer: Fields provided with red asterisk (*) mark are mandatory fields.

What happens, if I detect mistakes in Aadhaar/Mobile number etc after forwarding the applications to the next level?
Answer: In any case you cannot change/edit your Name/Aadhaar/Mobile number/Ration card no/Bank Account details and the software does not provide the facility at any level of Institute/District/State to edit & correct that information.

Do I have to fill up the online application in one sitting?

Answer: No. You can fill up the online application in as many sittings as you wish, until you are satisfied that you have entered all desirable fields correctly. The software provides facility to save your application as draft at every stage.

What is UID number/Aadhaar Number?

Answer: UID number otherwise known as ‘Aadhaar’ number is Unique Identification Number given by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Aadhaar is unique 12 digit number assigned after de-duplication of biometrics.

Data sharing / reporting Requirements?

Answer: In accordance with Aadhaar Act, the Mobile No, Bank Account No, and Aadhaar no, of students will not be shared with the user under any circumstances.

How do I will get time to time information?

Answer: All the information relating to your Scholarship will be communicated to you through auto generated SMS from the National Scholarship Portal to the registered mobile number which was given by you during application fill up. In that case you should keep your mobile number active to avoid any loss of information.

What should I do, if I do not find my institute name in the drop-down menu?

Answer: You should immediately approach the institute to contact with the nodal officer of the State where the institute is located. If your institute is an eligible institution, the State Government concerned would enter it into the database and then you can apply.

How to check the status of my application?

Answer: Student can check the status of Online Application by submitting his/her application ID and password and open the link “Check your Status”.

How to view the details of a particular scheme?

Answer: You may click on Guidelines link of particular Scheme displaying in On-Boarded schemes section on the Home page.

How to know the deadline for verification of application at Institute/District/State Level?
Answer: The deadline for verification of application at Institute/District education office/State Level will be displayed on portal.

What to do if I lost my Application ID and Password?

Answer: The “Forgot Application Id” option may be used and this problem can be overcome by using Search by Bank Account Number and Search by Mobile Number.

What is the remedy in case some scholarship scheme is not coming in drop down list?

Answer: As per the inputs provided by the student, if these do not fit into the Guidelines, then Scholarship cannot be provided.

How to know about the various services available on the portal?

Answer: The complete User Manual, Contact Details of Scheme wise State Nodal Officers and other services are available under the link “SERVICES” on the Home Page of the Portal.

What are the fields which are not editable at all?

Answer: Aadhaar/Bank details/Enrollment Id is not editable at any stage or any level. These should be filled very carefully.

Documents are required?

Answer: Aadhaar/Bank details/Enrollment Id/Ration card/OBC Certificate (father or Student)/Income Certificated.

What is the Last Date of Scholarship?

Last Date of Pre Matric Scholarship for OBC Students 2023-24 is 31st December 2023.
