What is Aikyashree West Bengal State Scholarship Scheme?

AIKYASHREE West Bengal State Scholarship Scheme For Minority Students (Buddhists, Christians, Jains, Muslims, Parsis and Sikhs) is sponsored by West Bengal Minorities’ Development & Finance Corporation. Only students domiciled in West Bengal are eligible to apply. Last date for application is 31.10.2023. Aikyashree Scholarship Applicants of Last Year Must Apply for 2023-24 under Renewal Category (except Pre-Matric) only.

Types of State Scholarship Scheme

1. Swami Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means (Fresh & Renewal) – (SVMCM & TSP)
2. State Govt. Sponsored Stipend Under Talent Support Programme (TSP) (Fresh & Renewal) – (SVMCM & TSP)
3. Merit-cum-Means (Fresh & Renewal) – (For Technical & Professional Courses)
4. Post Matric (Fresh & Renewal) – (For Classes XI to Ph.D.)
5. Pre Matric (Fresh & Renewal) – (For Classes I to X)

Eligibility of Aikyashree State Scholarship Scheme

** Only students domiciled in West Bengal are eligible to apply
** Unique ID of Bangla Shiksha is Mandatory for school-level students
** Students with at least 50% marks in the last exam are eligible to apply (except for Pre-Matric class I and TSP)
** Annual family income for the students for Pre-Matric, Post-Matric and TSP is upto Rs.2 lakhs, and for MCM and SVMCM it is upto Rs.2.5 lakhs
** Students must have their own operative bank account number. However, for Pre-Matric, students can apply through their parent’s bank account also
** A student is eligible to apply for scholarship from any one Government source only

How to Apply for Aikyashree State Scholarship Scheme?

To Apply for Aikyashree West Bengal State Scholarship Scheme For Minority Students 2023-24 follow the bellow steps,
i) Go to the Official website https://wbmdfcscholarship.in/
ii) Click on the option called Student’s Area and a new page will open on your screen.
iii) Click on the Fresh Registration option
iv) Now you have to select your district
v) The application form will open..
vi) Enter your basic information.
vii) Verify all of the details.
viii) Click on the submit button.
ix) Now fill in the eligibility details.
x) Click on the button called Submit And Proceed
xi) A user ID will be generated.
xii) You have to keep the user ID and password safe.
xiii) Now you have to log in using your information.
xiv) Enter all of the other information.
xv) Verify all of the details.
xvi) Click on the Final Submit button.
xvii)You have to take a printout of the application form.
xviii)Submit the application form to the concerned institution.

Question 1: Is there any specific state scholarship scheme for minorities?
Answer: Yes.This year state Govt. has launched a new state minority scholarship scheme named “Aikhyashree”.In addition, there are two existing schemes named TSP and SVMCM.

Question 2 :Who are eligible to apply for Scholarship Schemes?
Answer: Students belonging to minority communities i.e. Buddhist,Christian,Jain, Muslim,Parsee&Sikh are eligible to apply for various Scholarship schemes. For more details please visit website www.wbmdfcscholarship.in

Question 4: How can a student apply online for scholarship?
Answer:Go to www.wbmdfcscholarship.in and click on New Registration option and continue the process…

Question 5:How and whereto submit the online application?
Answer:Take a print out of application form, append your signature, get the signature of your parent/ guardian on self certified income certificate and then submit it to your educational institutions along with the Bank Account details.

Question 6: Can I edit the information already saved and up-to what time?
Answer: Yes, before locking your application

Question 7: What happens, if I detect mistakes after final locking of the applications ?
Answer:Request the INSTITUTE/DISTRICT Minority office/STATE (where your application is presently lying) to defect your application. However, this can be done only before the final payment process is completed.

Question 8:What kind of search facility is provided to students for Institute, District during registration process?
Answer:List of registered institute and Tracking of application are at Home Page.

Question 9: Do I have to fill up the online application in one sitting?
Answer:Not necessary.It can be completed part by part also.

Question 10: Is there any permanent ID? How will it be communicated to me?
Answer: Yes, it can be seen in the system after completion of the registration process.

Question 11: What should I do, if I do not find my institute name in the drop-down menu?
Answer:- Contact district Minority officie with supported documents.

Question 12:What documents are to be uploaded on AIKYASHREE while applying for the scholarships?
Answer:In case of SVMCM, income certificate, marksheet of last exam passed,institute verification form. No such uploading is required for other schemes like Pre-matric,Post-matric,TSP,and MCM (Note: except MCM for Listed institutes).

Question 13: How to check the status of my application?
Answer:Go to website www.wbmdfcscholarship.in . Application tracking option is in HOME page

Question14: How to overcome the problem of Login even after getting system generated Application ID and Password (created by the applicant during application filling)?
Answer: -Contact theDistrict Minority office where your institute is located.or mail it us at mdfc.wb[AT]gmail.com, you can also recover your id and password through Forgot user id and password that is available at the website.

Question 15: For Renewal cases, the Login data i.e Application ID and DOB of previous year is showing an error “Invalid User Name/ Password”. What is the remedy?
Answer:This year there is no provision for filing renewal application except in SVMCM scholarship. Please contact your District Minority office or whatsApp with proper screenshot to WBMDFC.
