What is Defence Services Academician Scholarship?

SOF is pleased to announce the “DEFENCE SERVICES ACADEMICIAN SCHOLARSHIP” 2023-24. Science Olympiad Foundation is pleased to announce launch of SOF. SOF DSAS acknowledges the academic achievements of students from Defence Services / Internal Security families. These families make monumental contributions to the safety and security of India. Under DSAS, SOF provides cash award/scholarship of 5000 each to 260 academically brilliant Indian students from serving or retired Defence Services / Internal Security Services families.

Salient Features Defence Services Academician Scholarship

1. The DSAS is an annual award/scholarship.
2. Under DSAS, 260 Indian students excelling in academics will be selected.
3. The selection of winners will be done from recommendation sent by schools.
4. Each selected winner will be awarded a cash scholarship of ₹ 5000 and a Merit Certificate.
5. The DSAS amount will be released by 31st March, 2024.
6. The scholarship amount will be deposited in the selected student’s Bank account as per details provided above.

Academic Achievements Of The Recommended Student :
A. Name of SOF Olympiad exams the student is appearing in/has appeared in 2023-24 with marks if result declared. (Please share roll no. allotted by SOF for exams if results are not declared.)
B. Total marks scored / grades achieved in previous year’s final exams. (Please attach attested copy of last year’s report card.)
C. Any other academic achievements. (Please use additional page if required.)
D. Reasons for recommendation of the student. (Please use additional page if required.)

Note: The e-mail IDs and/or phone numbers provided above will be used to communicate information related to SOF exams including registrations, preparatory material, schedule of exams, results, awards and other useful details.

Selection Criteria For Defence Services Academician Scholarship

** School may send a proposal recommending one student for consideration for DSAS.
** Each school may recommend only one student.
** The school should send a copy of his/her previous year’s report card duly certified by the Principal to SOF along with the DSAS application form.
** All proposals received will be evaluated by a Committee set up by SOF.
** Recommendation should be signed by the school Principal / Headmaster / Headmistress only.
** Qualifiers of DSAS will be notified individually and through respective schools.
** Recommendation should be in the specified format (as above) and complete in all respects / with required attachments.
** Decision of the SOF Committee will be final and binding.
** The student being nominated must be studying in the recommending school in India in class One to class Ten.
** In case of any dispute, jurisdiction will vest with Delhi courts only.
** Recommendation under DSAS should be submitted by 31st Dec. 2023, at the Office of Science Olympiad Foundation.
