What is Ericsson Empowering Girl Scholarship?

Ericsson Empowering Girl Scholarship Program 2021 is an initiative of Ericsson to provide financial support to meritorious girl students. Under this scholarship, girl students pursuing studies in the 2nd year of Engineering (IT/CS) or MBA program across India will be provided with financial assistance of INR 75,000 per year to cover their academic expenses. Last date for scholarship application is 30th November 2021.

Eligibility

For Engineering Students :
** Open for girl students across India only.
** Applicants must be studying in the 2nd year of the Engineering program in ICT streams (IT/CS) at state/UGC recognized colleges in India.

** Applicants must have scored at least 6.5 GPA or equivalent marks in the previous final examination.
** Annual family income of the applicant from all sources must not be more than INR 6,00,000.
** Children of employees of Ericsson and Buddy4Study are not eligible.

For MBA Students :
** Open for girl students across India only.
** Applicants must be studying in the 2nd year of the MBA program at reputed colleges in India.

** Applicants must have scored at least 6.5 GPA or equivalent marks in the previous final examination.
** Annual family income of the applicant from all sources must not be more than INR 6,00,000.
** Children of employees of Ericsson and Buddy4Study are not eligible.

Benefits

INR 75,000 per year (The scholarship amount can be utilized only for academic expenses including tuition fees, hostel fees, food, internet, mobile, laptop, books, stationery, online learning, etc.)

How To Apply For Ericsson Empowering Girl Scholarship?

Follow the steps below to apply for the Ericsson Empowering Girl Scholarship.

** Click on the Apply Now button below
** Login to Buddy4Study using registered ID. This will navigate the students to the ‘Online Application Form” page

** If not already registered on Buddy4Study – register using the email id/mobile phone number/Facebook/Gmail account
** Once logged in, the students will then be redirected to the “COVID Crisis Support Scholarship” application form page

** Click on the ‘Start Application’ button to begin the application process
** Fill in the required details in the online scholarship application form
** Upload the required documents

** Click the ‘Accept’ button for terms and conditions. Students must ensure that they have read the terms and conditions before accepting it.

** Click the ‘Preview’ button. If all the details filled in by the applicant are displaying correctly on the preview screen, click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.

Documents Required

** Photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card)
** Passport size photograph
** Income proof (Form 16A/income certificate from government authority/salary slips, etc.)

** Proof of admission (college/university ID card/bonafide certificate/etc.)
** Current academic year fee receipt
** Bank account details of the applicant (cancelled cheque/passbook copy)
** Marksheets or grade card of previous qualifying examination

Selection Process

The selection of scholars for ‘Ericsson Empowering Girl Scholarship Program’ will be made based on their academic merit and financial background. It involves a multi-stage process as detailed below –

** Initial shortlisting of applicants based on their academic merit, financial background and college profile
** Telephonic interview of shortlisted candidates followed by document verification
** Final interview with Ericsson selection committee for final selection

Note : Students from premium institutions will be given preference during shortlisting rounds.
