HKWS Scholarship Exam

The Hare Krishna Welfare Society (HKWS) is a registered society of charity. The main aims and objectives of the HKWS are to open and run schools for the needy, poor children.

As a part of its efforts to facilities school education of the talented and meritorious schools students of the country, the HKWS has drawn up a long term programme of competitive examination to provide scholarship and free School text books.

This competitive examination from academic session 2020-2021 and onward will be for class 1st and above to encourage their retention up to class 12th.

Eligibility

The students of Class 1st to 12th of any school of the country who are studying in India are eligible to appear in the competitive examination, forms of the candidates must be forwarded by Head of the Concerned Schools.

Scholarship Amount

** 130 Scholarship (10 from each group) of Rs. 2000/- will be awarded for period of one year.
** The first 13 toppers (1 From each group) and the next 117 toppers from the merit list of each state/UT where the examination will be conducted – awarded Scholarship for the period of one year.
** However the topper from the merit list of each school will be awarded either scholarship or a set of books for one year.
** There will be 100 Excellent prizes of Rs 300/- each and 100 consolation prizes of Rs. 200/- each.
** The candidates securing 75% or more marks in aggregate in the examinations will be issued Merit Certificates.

Registration Fee

** The students who willing to participate in this all India School Scholarship Examination will get their names registered by sending the application form duly filled either directly or through schools.

** The Application Fee is Rs.1000/- which includes Rs.500/- as Examination Fee and 500/- as Registration Fee which is non refundable.

** The application form must be accompained by a crossed bank draft in favour of “HARE KRISHNA WELFARE SOCITY” Payabe at Kurukshetra OR Deposit Recipt in Current Bank A/c No.3447445827 of Central Bank of India, Kurukshetra Branch, IFSC Code CBIN0283474.

How To Apply?

** Any Indian students under any group can apply for the registration directly or by through School.
** The forms are available at a cost of Rs 200/- in cash or by post form the office of HKWS by sending a bank draft of Rs 250/- in favour of HARE KRISHNA WELFARE SOCIETY payable at Kurukshetra.
** All application should be accompanied by the following enclosures:
** Application form duly filled in with certificate of the Head of School.
** Two post cards and two plain envelops (Stamped of Rs. 50/-) each of size 10×20 cm for sending Hall Tickets and result.
** Cross Demand Draft of Rs 1000/- in favour of Hare Krishna Welfare Society Payable at Kurukshetra.

Where To Send The Application:
All application along with necessary enclosures should be sent to the officer of the HKWS Kurukshetra. Application should be sent through Regd. Post (Couriers are not acceptable).

Selection Procedure

Group division & eligibility:

Group 0 Class Nursery Students Group -A Class UKG/ I Students

Venue of Examination:
The venue of examination will be given in Hall Tickets to be issued to the candidates. Such candidates who don’t get Hall Tickets till 15 days before examination shall inform for the controller of examination to get their Hall Tickets. Any change in date place & timings will be intimated to the concerned.

Medium of Examination:
The medium of examination for written and oral tests will be English, Hindi, or their study as preferred by candidate in his/her respective Registration Form.

Written Test

Written test will consist of 100 objective questions of 200 marks for class 1st to 10th For Nursery/UKG/LKG Paper will be of 100 marks

Interview

Only selected students according to merit list of written test will be called in for personal interview and who will be meritorious in this interview will be entitled for scholarship and Prizes.

Syllabus

For all India Schools Scholarship Examination, the standard & syllabus for GROUP A to J i.e. Class 1st to 12th has prescribed by NCERT/CBSE/ICSE/State Govt. U.T. Govt.

Scholarship Exam Rules

** The exam will be conducted in the month of January, April and November every year. State and National Scholarships will based on the three exams.
** National and State Scholarship will be given on the basis of HWKS ranking system.
** The Examination Advisory Commitee of the HKWS will have the full responsibility of conducting this examination district wise all over the country and selecting the Scholarship awarded and book prize winners.
** Students selected for the Scholarships will have to send their half yearly school progress reports attested by the head of concerned school with official seal and address.
** The payment of Scholarships will be continued only if the awardees can maintain at least 70% marks consistently in the half yearly and annual examination
** The payment of Scholarship will start from the academic session in which exam conducts. Any delay in conducting the examination or in publication of the results during this period will not have bearing on the payment of the Scholarship.
