How to Apply Scholarship in this Portal ?

Prior to the introduction of Scholarship portal, the applications for department wise schemes were invited through the state scholarship portal. However, to ensure transparency and accountability in the scholarship administration, this portal came into existence. Given below is the step wise description of the application process.

To apply the scholarship, eligible students need to follow the below given steps:

Step-1 :Click Registration link at the portal, if you are new user. Existing user can click on the login button.

Step-2: Enter the Aadhaar number and proceed further.

Step-3 :Check your registered mobile or email to get the user ID and password.

Step-4: Click login link at the portal and enter User ID and password to apply the scholarship.

Step-5: Provide all necessary details like student, academic, eligibility and bank information.

Step-6: Click on the “Save as draft” button to draft the information or click on “Next” button to save and proceed the scholarship form.

Step-7: The preview of the completed form will appear on the page. Download the forms and take its print out.

What types of scholarships are available?

What is the last date for submitting applications online?
For such dates please look at the “News & Announcement” in the home page.

Should I apply again for renewal of Scholarship (Registered Applicants)?
From this Academic year renewal of Scholarship will be done by Institute. You just have to inform Institute about your “Aadhar Card Number”, “Caste certificate issuing authority” to be entered in applicationdetails. Any change in Mobile number, Address for Correspondence, Bank Account details has to be communicated to the Institute.

What happens, if I detect mistakes after forwarding the applications to the institutes?
You should separately inform the mistakes detected by you to the Scholarship Nodal Officer of your Institute. The software provides facility at the level of the institute to correct information provided by the applicant.

What should I do, if I do not find my institute name in the drop-down menu?
You should immediately approach the institute to contact with the District Officer of the District where the institute is located. If your institute is an eligible institution, the District Officer would enter it into the database and then you can apply.

What all documents I have to submit with the print out of the application?
You have to submit Original Caste Certificate, Original Income Certificate, Copy of First page of Bank Passbook(showing IFSC Code of the Bank & Bank Account Number) and Disability Certificate(if any) along with the print out of the Application. Institute would verify the original certificates & return back to the students.
