Punjab Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Scholarship / Stipend.

Eligibility/ Conditions

** The benefit of stipend shall be given to the children of only registered beneficiaries.

** Stipend shall also be granted to the beneficiary for his own study in evening classes in approved Institute/ University.
** Stipend shall not be granted in the fail cases in last class.

** If the Beneficiary has availed such benefits from any other department/ institute of Punjab Government, he will also be entitled to get benefit under this scheme.

** A Certificate issued by the Educational Institute shall be uploaded on the Portal of the Board

Documents Required

The documents required for registration are,
** Age proof( If no age proof is available self declaration),
** Residence proof,
** Aadhar card (If available),
** Bank Account details (Bank branch, account No. and IFSC/RTGS number),
** Detail of dependents and employer’s certificate of working for 90 days as construction worker and nomination form.

Shagun Scheme

Shagun Scheme for the marriage of two daughters of the Registered Construction Workers Rs. 31,000/- (Amount of Shagun)

** The Shagun Scheme shall be applicable only once on the occasion of marriage of two daughters (upto two daughters marriage) and shall not be
applicable in the case of second marriage.

** If the daughter is herself registered as beneficiary with the Board, she shall also be entitled for the amount of Shagun on the occasion of her own marriage.

** The registered workman can submit application within 3 months after the fixed date of marriage of the daughter. A certificate obtained from the Marriage Registering Authority is required to be attached with the application.

** If the Beneficiary has availed such benefits from any other department/ institute of Punjab Government, he will also be entitle to get benefit under this scheme.

FAQs

1. What is the rate of registration fee?
The rate of registration fee is Rs 25/- at the time of registration. It is a one time fee.

2. What is the rate of contribution?
A registered worker is required to contribute @ Rs. 10/- per month as contribution fee to the board. He may deposit this contribution for maximum three year at a time.

3. Who can get benefit of various welfare schemes of the Board.
Any construction worker who is a registered member of the Board can get benefit of the welfare schemes for himself and for his family members.

4. How to apply for registration?
Any construction worker who is of 18 years and below 60 years’ age and has worked in Punjab State for not less than 90 days shall apply for registration as construction worker online through sewa kendra or in office of the Labour Inspectors of the area.
