Provisional List

Following is the provisional list of candidates in the order of merit, recommended for the Award of KVPY Fellowship-2019.

The merit list is based on the marks obtained by a Candidate: 75 % of the marks in the Aptitude Test + 25 % of the marks in the Interview.

Cut Off Marks

General Merit and cut off marks :
** Stream – SA (53.00 % and above)
** Stream – SX (55.00 % and above)
** Stream – SB (50.00 % and above)

All India Rank List under Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST students in the KVPY Fellowship Program and cut off marks :
** Stream – SA (42.00 % and above)
** Stream – SX (45.00 % and above)
** Stream – SB (40.00 % and above)

All India Rank List under Empowerment Initiative for PWD students in the KVPY Fellowship Program and cut off marks :
** Stream – SA (42.00 % and above)
** Stream – SX (45.00 % and above)
** Stream – SB (40.00 % and above)

Note :
The marks of all the candidates who appeared for the Aptitude Test & Interview (as applicable) can be obtained from the KVPY website during last week of April 2020 by logging in with the application number and date of birth.

Document Verification

The Award of KVPY Fellowship will be subject to verification of the relevant documents.

In case of SA candidates, the fellowship will be effective from 1st August 2021, provided they pursue an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences, namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Bioinformatics, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science or Environmental Science.

In case of SX/SB candidates, the fellowship will be effective from 1st August 2020 provided they pursue an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences in branches mentioned above for SA candidates.

The candidates are required to intimate the KVPY office by email (fellowship.kvpy@iisc.ac.in) about their admission to the undergraduate program by 5th September 2020, so as to enable this office to forward the required forms for the candidates to fill up and submit to activate the KVPY fellowships.

FAQs

1. Can I avail the KVPY Fellowship along with a merit scholarship?
KVPY does not allow its Fellows to receive simultaneously fellowship /scholarship from more than one source, either government or private. In case they are in receipt of any other fellowship or scholarship, they will have to relinquish it in order to avail the KVPY Fellowship.

2. Whom should I contact in case of Examination centre related queries?
The students can send their queries through e-mail which will be answered.

3. When does the KVPY advertisement come in the newspapers?
The advertisement for the KVPY Fellowship appears in all the national dailies on the Technology day (May 11), and on the second Sunday of July every year.
