Scholarships For Academic Session 2015-16 :
Scholarships are available for meritorious students of different streams and disciplines. The information on Scholarships for the academic session 2015-16 is forwarded for your information please:
Scholarships Process:
It is decided to follow a transparent process for finalizing the Scholarships and the Last Dates in any academic year would be as follows:
** Announcement of Scholarships(through notice, email & web): by 30th September/Oct 01
** Submission of duly-filled application forms to the respective HoDs – by 15th October
** Pre Processing of applications- by 20th October
** Final Processing of applications- by 30th October
** Implementation – by 01st November
After the announcement, the eligible students are required to submit an application to the concerned HoDs, who shall then direct their office to submit all the received applications to Director Admission’ office through official dispatch after the given time-line.
1. TMA Pai Engineering Scholarships:
These are merit-cum-means scholarships with a cap of two scholarships in each stream, restricted to the top 3000 ranks in the MU Engineering Entrance Examination.
Students applying for these scholarships are required to submit copies of their parents’ (both mother and father) Form 16/16A/ITR of the last two years.
To continue to get the scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 8.0 or above every academic year, failing which the scholarship for the next years will be withdrawn.
2. Scholarships for Lateral Entry (Diploma) / Transfer Cases B Tech and Non B Tech:
Scholarships will be offered to meritorious students who take admission under Lateral Entry (Diploma) / Transfer category as per the criterion given below:
i. One scholarship in each stream / programme, amounting to ,10% of the annual programme fee, to be granted on the basis of merit, provided a student scores more than 60% and above of the aggregate marks or CGPA 6.0 and above, without any backlog.
ii. To continue the award of scholarship, a student should maintain a CGPA of 6.0 and above, failing which, the scholarship for the subsequent years will be withdrawn
