AICTE PMSSS J&K Scholarship

Registration under Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) for the Students of J&K is Started for the year 2019-20.

Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme is applicable to J&K Students to pursue undergraduate studies outside the State of Jammu and Kashmir.

PMSSS Eligibility

A Student Is Eligible, If :
** State Subject (domicile) of J&K State
** Passed 10+2 Exam from JKBOSE or CBSE affiliated schools located in J&K
** Passed 10+3 Diploma from J&K State Polytechnic for admission directly in second year in prescribed list of Colleges against on the vacant seats of previous year
** Family income not exceeding than Rs. 8.00 Lakh per annum

A Student Is Not Eligible, If :
** Not applied through online registration on AICTE Portal
** Course is offered by Open University
** Availing benefits from other Govt./Non-Govt. Scheme
** Admission to the course is through Management Quota

** Joined a college other than those in AICTE Portal
** Pursuing any Diploma / Post Graduate Programme
** Admission is through Agents / NGOs
** Absent during the counseling

PMSSS Online Registration

Log on to AICTE Website and follow the Steps to apply for “Online Registration for scholarship” and follow the instructions on how to fill the online application.

Steps :
Step-1 : Open AICTE Website via link (https://www.aicte-india.org/)
Step-2 : Go to the ‘PMSSS J&K’ tab under the ‘Quick Links’ on the home page.

Step 3: Click on the tab of A/Y 2019-20.

Step-4 : In that page, You can find the complete details of PMSSS J&K. Click on the ‘Login For Candidate’ link at the bottom of the page.

Step-5 : You will be directed to the PMSSS J&K Scholarship online registration page. Click on the ‘Registration For PMSSS: 2019-20’ link under ‘Sign In’.

Step-6 : Fill the online form carefully with required details and submit the ‘Register’ button.

Step-7 : Upload your latest photo & signature. Both photo & signature should be in .JPG /.PDF/.PNG format with size of the file should be less than 2 MB.

Step-8 : After completing the registration, Take printout of online filled application and visit your nearest facilitation centre along with original documents & one set of self attested photocopies of all original documents for document verification

Documents Required

Original Documents to be produced at the time of Verification at Facilitation Center are as:

** Xth Standard Mark sheet
** XIIth Standard Mark sheet(if any)
** Diploma Certificate (for lateral entry only)
** Domicile Certificate
** Aadhaar Card (if any)
** Family Income Certificate (Issued by Tehsildar or equivalent)
** Valid Caste certificate for SC/ST/SEBC as per State Govt. Policy
** Valid disability Certificate (if any)

Note : The ‘Choice Filling’ for Diploma candidates is Started.

Scholarship Amount

The following disbursement of academic fee/maintenance charges will be reimbursed subject to maximum of ceiling/capping to the candidate and college respectively are as follows

Round 1 Provisional Allotment

** Candidates who have been allotted seats can download their allotment letter.
** Candidates will have to report physically to the Institute on or before 15th, July 2019 positively along with all the original documents.

Note :
No Allotment for the Candidates whose names are not mentioned in this list. Such Candidates will be allowed for choice filling for the Second Round of Counselling subject to vacancy of seats from 23rd June to 26th June 2019.

PMSSS FAQs

1. I have passed 10+2 in Commerce stream, am I eligible for engineering?
No, but you are eligible for Commerce stream under General course approved by section 12(B) of U.G.C. and the one which are mentioned in the listed while you are selecting the colleges in counseling.

2. I have submitted my application, is documents verification at Facilitation Centre is necessary?
Yes, without documents verification at Facilitation Centre, student is not eligible for Scholarship. The list of Facilitation Centers is available on AICTE website.

3. Is attending counseling mandatory for eligible students for availing benefits under PMSSS?
Yes, it is Mandatory for all the students to attend counseling in General/Professional/Engineering/Medical stream, who wants to take admission his/her own or through centralised counseling for availing benefits under the scheme PMSSS

4. Is Aadhaar card a mandatory document for J&K PMSSS scholarship?
Aadhaar card is not mandatory during online registration. But, it is requested if the candidate is having the Aadhaar card he/she should fill while registration under PMSSS.

5. I have submitted my online application for J&K PMSSS scholarship. Is it possible to edit my application?
Yes, Officer of facilitation centre can only edit the online application form , subject to the production of original documents in support of your claim/request for editing

6. Is it necessary to submit separate online application for General & Engineering course?
Candidates are required to select “Both” option from the dropdown menu under “Stream applied for” field, if they want to apply for both General & Engineering Stream under J&K PMSSS while submitting online application. The candidate need to fill only one application form.

7. I have filled & submitted my online application form. What should I do next?
Take printout of online filled application and visit your nearest facilitation centre along with original documents & one set of self attested photocopies of all original documents for document verification as or when the centers open. Kindly visit AICTE website for more information to get the updates.

8. To which facilitation centre should I go for document verification?
You can go to any one of the facilitation centers established by Govt. of J&K as per your convenience for document verification and after that choice filling option would be open. (List of Facilitation Centers is available at AICTE Website).

9. Is there any document I should collect from facilitation centre after document verification process?
Yes, you must collect document verification report (Student Copy) from the facilitation centre without fail.

10. Is it necessary for me to submit original documents to the facilitation centre after the document verification?
No original documents are not to be submitted to the facilitation centers. You just have to show them at the time of verification.

11. I have done diploma in engineering field, can I apply under PMSSS?
Yes, if you have Passed (10+3) Diploma from J&K State Polytechnics you eligible for admission in direct second year in prescribed list of Colleges on the vacant seats of previous year’s allotment.

12. I have taken admission under Management Quota, Am I eligible for J&K PMSSS scholarship?
No, candidates taking admission under management quota or by Agents / NGO are not eligible for PMSSS scholarship.
