Goonj Fellowship
Goonj, a 20 years old award winning nonprofit working pan India, started its fellowship chapter last year with its first cohort of 15 fellows from diverse backgrounds.

The 1-year fellowship is an immersion experience for young graduates and professionals to understand the practical aspects of working on issues and an opportunity to observe the realities of India first-hand.
Goonj Fellowship Eligibility
1) Minimum Qualification – Graduation in any discipline.
2) Open for Indian citizens only..
3) Age – 21 to 30 years of age as on June 1st, 2019

Step 2 : Read the instructions carefully and click on the “Online Application Form” button at the end of the page.

Step 4 : Fill up the Google form and upload a Statement of Purpose (500 words)
Step 5 : Mail us your filled application form along with your Statement of Purpose and Letter of Recomendation at fellowship [AT] goonj.org.
Step 6 : You can also courier us a hard copy of the application @ Goonj, J-93, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi-110076 with a label/subject-line named ‘Goonj Fellowship’.
Important Points
** You can’t do any online/offline course during the fellowship period
** You can be placed in any city/rural setting for a short/long time during the fellowship.
** The issues and ideas you will be working on during the fellowship will be aligned with Goonj’s ongoing work/projects.
** If you have a specific passion/idea that you want to work on in life. Please bring it up in the application and interview.

** You get hands on experience connecting with Goonj’s ongoing/planned campaigns in collaboration with its internal stakeholders and contributors.
** You work with Goonj’s experienced rural and urban implementation teams on the last mile challenges and grassroots problems and solutions.
** You create your own action plan within the social sector under the mentorship of an expert panel.
** You connect with inspiring social entrepreneurs and interact with Magsaysay Awardee and Goonj Founder Mr. Anshu Gupta.

FAQs
1. How will the fellowship function?
** Fellowship is for 12 months and a tough one!
** Fellows will be given 20 leaves a year + regular national holidays.
** Fellowship Stipend will be a fixed amount ranging between Rs 18000 – Rs 20000 per month, depending on the city. This will be all inclusive of travel, phone,internet etc.
** City travel allowances will be reimbursed based on actuals.
2. Is there any age limit for me apply for this fellowship?
This fellowship is open to applicants between 21 – 30 years. With maximum being 30 years of age as on June 1st, 2019
3. What if I have already done a fellowship like Gandhi Fellowship, Teach for India Fellowship, YIFs or any other liberal studies programmes, can i still apply?
Applicants from social work, liberal arts, entrepreneurship studies, people who have done other prestigious fellowships like Gandhi Fellowship, Teach for India Fellowship, YIFs, Jagriti Yatra can definitely apply but will not be given any extra preference or advantage.
4. What are the locations that I can apply for this fellowship?
Goonj works in parts of 23 states in deeper rural pockets and has offices in Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Rishikesh,Chennai, Kochi and Mumbai. Based on need and your interest areas you will be placed in any of these above locations.
