GAT Eligibility
1. B.Tech., B.Arch. & B.Pharmacy :
Pass in intermediate or 12th examination from a recognized central / state board or its equivalent either in 2019 or 2018 and also rank obtained in GAT (UGTP) – 2019
2. M.Tech :
First class or equivalent grade in the Qualifying Examination from recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and rank obtained in GAT (PGTA) 2019
3. M.Arch :
Pass in B.Arch. from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and score obtained in GAT (PGTA) – 2019.
4. M.Pharmacy :
Pass in B.Pharm. from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and score obtained in GAT (PGP) – 2019.
How to Apply for GAT?
Just follow the below steps to apply for GAT 2019.
Online
Step 1 : To apply online go to the following link https://www.gitam.edu/
Step 2 : Fill the registration form with the required fields and click on “Register” button
Step 3 : Read all the instructions and eligibility criteria for admission test before proceeding to fill the online application form and click on “I Agree” button
Application Procedure :
It involves 3 steps
Step1 : Fill the Online Application Form
The candidate should furnish all the details while filling the Online Application Form. After successful submission of the data, Application number will be generated and this can be used to complete the next step of the application form and also for your future reference.
Step2 : Upload of Photograph and Signature
** Upload your recent passport size color photograph (Not older than 3 months).
** The scanned image of photograph should be in jpg/jpeg format.
** Size of the photo image must be more than 4 kb and less than 50 kb.
** Dimension of photograph image should be 4 cm (width) x 4 cm (Height).
Step3 : Payment of Registration Fee through online
Electronic Payment by Debit Card /Credit Card/Net banking – The candidate has to select Debit Card /Credit Card/ Net Banking option for e-payment. After successful payment of registration fee, you will be accessed to take printout of the acknowledgment.
On Paper
Step 1 : Applications can be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs. 150/- drawn in favour of GITAM (Deemed to be University) payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.
Step 2 : Request for applications by post will be accepted upto 25th March, 2019.
Step 3 : Applications are also available throughout India in selected branches of Union Bank of India, Indian Bank and Karur Vysya Bank.
Step 4 : The filled – in application along with a DD for Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 600/- for female candidates), drawn in favor of GITAM (Deemed to be University), payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank, should reach Director-Admissions, GITAM (Deemed to be University), Gandhi Nagar Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam – 530 045, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA on or before 30th March, 2019.

Instructions
** Candidates should arrive at the examination centre one hour before the scheduled time.
** The candidate is expected to have basic familiarity with use of computer like use of keyboard and mouse operation
** The questions are generated from a large question bank and all the candidates will get different question sets.
** No student will be allowed to repeat the examination in the same year.
** Each question carries 4 marks. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted from the score for each wrong answer. The unanswered questions will receive nil marks.
** On completion of the examination, the computer will display the result in terms of number of total correct answers and wrong answers and the net score.
** The method adopted for resolving ties shall be in the order of scores in mathematics / biology, physics, chemistry and age of the candidate.
** The ranks secured by the candidates will be announced within 10 days from the date of completion of GAT – 2019.
