If you are currently in Class 12 Science in a Government School and you missed the chance to appear for the Joint Dakshana Selection Test on December 08, 2019, here is another opportunity to apply for the Dakshana Scholarship to prepare for JEE & NEET.

You can now apply for the scholarship, without giving the JDST, by providing us your score at the JEE Mains 2020 (either of the two exams). Score high and send us your score to be eligible for the Dakshana One-year Scholarship! A link will be made available for the applications in the first week of February.

Selection of scholars for the Dakshana Two-year and One-year JEE/NEET Coaching Scholarship Program will be done through the NDST (Navodaya Dakshana Selection Test) 2020 and JDST (Joint Dakshana Selection Test) 2020, respectively.

JDST

** This test is held for students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and state government schools.
Note : Government-aided schools and private schools, schools run by private local organisations are not eligible for the scholarship.

** Students currently in Class 12 Science (Academic Session 2019-20) only can appear in the JDST.

1. For students in JNVs :
** Students currently in Class 12 (Science) in JNVs will be selected, for the JDST, based on their performance at internal school examinations in the current year.

2. For students in State Government Schools :
** Eligibility
i. Class 10 result – > 70% aggregate.
ii. Total family annual income is less than INR 1,50,000/-.

Note :
Dakshana will select scholars for One-year program based on their merit at the JDST 2020/JEE Mains 2020/NEET 2020 and Personal Interviews.

Just follow the below steps to apply for the JDST 2020.

Registration

Student must register on the website. Click on the register button at top-right corner on the screen.

Fill up the required details for Registration,
Step 1 : Enter Your First Name
Step 2 : Enter Your Middle Name
Step 3 : Enter Your Last Name
Step 4 : Enter Your Email Id
Step 5 : Enter Your User Name
Step 6 : Enter Your Password


Step 7 : Confirm Your Password
Step 8 : Enter Your Mobile Number
Step 9 : Select Your Date of Birth
Step 10 : Select Your Gender
Step 11 : Click on the ‘Sign Up’ button

Log In

Candidate can login with the user ID and password (created at the time of registration). You have to follow the below steps for Login,
Step 1 : Enter Your User Name [udhaya123]
Step 2 : Enter Your Password
Step 3 : Click on the “Sign In” button

Forgot Password

You can retrieve your password by clicking ‘Forgot Password’ link and follow the steps mentioned below,
Step 1 : Enter Registered Email Id – you will receive a password reset link to your registered email id.
Step 2 : Click “Reset Your Password” button.

Application

After login, you can see “Application” Tab on the left side of the page. Click on the Application tab and choose

1. “JDST 2020”: Student studying in class 12 at JNV
2. “NDST 2020” : Student studying in class 10 at JNV

Documents Required

Following documents need to be uploaded while filling up the application form.
1. Passport Size colour photograph*
2. School Identity Card
3. Applicant’s Signature*
4. Caste certificate (in case of OBC, SC and ST) *
5. Disability certificate ( in case of Physically disabled) *

6. Income certificate or salary slip ( parents/guardian)
7. Class 10th Mark sheet * (Only for class 12 Applicants)
8. Family photo (Recent family photo showing all members standing in front of your home). This is not mandatory but would be helpful in processing your application

JDST Format

** Both the tests are of 3-hour duration and divided in four parts –
Part 1 – Mathematics/Biology;
Part 2 – Logical Reasoning;
Part 3 – Physics and
Part 4 – Chemistry.

** The tests are in Multiple Choice Question format with 25 questions in each part.
** Answers are to be marked with HB pencil on OMR sheets. OMR sheets will be provided by Dakshana Foundation.

** Each right answer is awarded 3 marks and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
** No calculators are allowed.

** The tests are based on the NCERT syllabus of Class 9, 10 for NDST & Class 11, 12 for JDST. However, this test is significantly more difficult than the CBSE.
