Institute of Nano Science and Technology invites applications for Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship 2019.

Who Can Apply?
** The applicant must either be a Ph.D. degree holder in Science/Engineering or should have submitted his/her Ph.D. thesis in Science/Engineering.
** The applicant must have a proven research competence in Science/Engineering.
** The applicant must have a very good academic record and must be capable of becoming independent investigators in future.
** The applicant should be at least 35 years old as on 1 February 2019.
Note :
SC/ST/PH/Women candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5 years in age and candidates of OBC category get a relaxation of 3 years.

Step 2 : Fill in the application form. Next open the online synopsis link provided below.

Step 3 : Fill the synopsis and send it along with the filled application form at apply_postdoc [AT] inst.ac.in as an advance copy.
Step 4 : Send the hard copy of filled application along with the necessary documents and demand draft of INR 450 (Gen/OBC) or INR 150 (SC/ST/PH) drawn in favour of ‘Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali’ payable at Mohali/Chandigarh to the address mentioned below

Note :
Application for the Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship Program – February 2019′ should be written on top of the envelope carrying the filled application form.
Required Documents
** Applicant’s passport size photograph
** Demand draft as per the instruction
** Self-attested copies of certificate in support of age, educational qualifications like mark sheets, certificates of class 10 and above
** One page synopsis of applicant’s Ph.D. thesis and three-page write-up of research proposed to be taken up
** Certificate of experience if the candidate is working
** Caste/disability certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidate
Selection Criteria
A shortlisting committee will select candidates based on their application and synopsis submitted by them. The final selection of the candidates for the fellowship will be done on the basis of their academic record, research competence and interview which will be held at the INST.
Important Dates
** Last Date to submit the application – 26 October 2018
** List of shortlisted candidates to be displayed on INST website – 3rd week of November 2018
Terms & Conditions
** The shortlisted candidates have to carry their original certificates (B.Sc, M.Sc, M.Tech., Ph.D.) at the time of their interview.
** The shortlisted candidates must request three referees to directly send their confidential evaluation to apply_postdoc [AT] inst.ac.in.
** The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the website of INST and they will receive communication of it on their email address.
** The candidates called for interview will receive rail fare of sleeper class or Non-AC bus fare (on producing the ticket) from their place of residence to INST and back.
** The application of in-service applicants should be sent through their department/organisation. In case the applicant anticipates a delay, he/she may send advance application (in hard copy) so as to reach by the due date.
** The applicants are advised to regularly visit the website of INST to know about the latest developments.
