Punjab Dr.Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship
Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes (SC) & Backward Classes (BC) Punjab, invites scholarship applications for the year 2019-20.

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.
Who Can Apply?
** The scholarships are open to nationals of India
** Scholarships will be paid to the students whose parents/guardians’ income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees two lakh, fifty thousands only) per annum.
** Only those candidates who belong to Scheduled Castes and who have passed the Matriculation or Higher Secondary or any higher examination of a recognised University or Board of Secondary Education, will be eligible.
** Students pursuing Post Graduate courses in medicine will be eligible if they are not allowed to practice during the period of their course.
** Students who pursue their studies through correspondence courses are also eligible
** All children of the same parents/guardians will be entitled to receive benefits of the scheme.
How to Apply?
Just follow the below steps to apply for the Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students 2019-20.
Step 1 : Go to the official website of Dr.Ambedkar Scholarship Portal through provided above.
Step 2 : User has to click on the “Registered Student Login” on the Home page.
Step 3 : Enter the Student User-ID, Password and the displayed Captcha Code, and click on login
Step 4 : Select the scholarship scheme and fill the required fields to complete the application process.
Step 5 : After complete your application take a print out of your application and sent it to the head of the institution along with the necessary documents.
Just follow the below steps to search your scholarship application
Step 1 : Select your Institute Type,
Step 2 : Select your Institute Level,
Step 3 : Select your District,
Step 4 : Select your Tehsil,
Step 5 : Institute and press button below to view applications.
Step 6 : You may also enter your first name to list all applicant’s having same name. You can also view latest status of your application by clicking on (+) button on left of applicant details.
1. Self-attested photo copy of caste certificate,
2. An income declaration by the self-employed parents/guardians, stating definite income from all sources by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper.
Employed parents/guardians are required to obtain income certificate from their employer and for any additional income from other sources, they would furnish declaration by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper
3. Copy of high school certificate,
4. Copy of first page of pass book (showing IFSC code of the Bank & Bank Account Number linked with Aadhaar Number)
5. Handicap Certificate (if any) along with the print out of the Application.
Value of Scholarship
The value of scholarship includes the following for complete duration of the course
i. Maintenance allowance,
ii. Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees,
iii. Study tour charges,
iv. Thesis typing/printing charges for Research Scholars,
v. Book allowance for students pursuing correspondence courses,
vi. Book bank facility for specified courses, and
vii. Additional allowance for students with disabilities, for the complete duration of the course

1. Whether I have to fill up the online application in one sitting?
No. You can register by entering your basic details. The system would generate an Applicant-id & password for you. Please note down the generated Applicant-Id & Password.
Later you can fill up the online application in as many sittings as you wish, until you are satisfied that you have entered all desirable fields correctly. The software provides facility to save your application. Once you “Lock” your application, you will not be able to modify further.
2. Can I edit the information already saved and up to what time?
You can edit information filled by you, till you “Lock and forward the online application” to the institute.
If the student has entered the following parameters wrongly he/she can register again
(1) Name of the student
(2) Father Name
(3) Mother Name
(4) Date of Birth
Rest of the details the student can edit any number of times.
3. How can I forward the Application to the Institute?
After completion of entry and final edit(if any), click on “Edit-Lock-Print” option, then on “Lock” to forward the application to the Institute.
4. How to check the status of my application?
You can check the status of your application anytime. After logging in, click on “ Edit-Lock-Print Application”. Then select “Track Status” option. This will provide you current / latest status of your Scholarship Application.
5. What should I do, if, by mistake, I select and forward my application to a wrong institute?
You can approach the concerned institute “Temporarily Reject” your application. On Temporary rejection, the application will be made available to you for editing purpose. You can make correct selection of Institute.
Then select the Course and Branch. Lock the application, and forward the application to your Institute.
