Who Can Apply?

Students who are studying Class IXth are eligible to apply for State Talent Search Examination.

How to Apply?

Just follow the below steps to apply for the STSE 2018.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of Manipur Directorate of Education through the URL https://manipureducation.gov.in/

Step 2 : Then click on the “Application Forms for NMMSE, STSE and SLNTSE, 2018” link under the Notification tab.

Step 3 : Next select “State Talent Search Examination, 2018 (Class IX)” to download your applications form

Step 4 : Complete filled in Application Forms along with the supporting documents should be submitted to the respective office of the District School Education Officer.

Exam Pattern

You have to take the Examination in two parts.
Part I :
** Part-I (A) is confined to Mental Ability Test (MAT) consisting of 50 compulsory questions.
** Part-I (B) is confined to Language Comprehensive Test (LCT) consisting of 50 compulsory questions.

Part II :
Part-II is confined to Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) consisting of 100 compulsory questions, 40 from Science, 40 from Social Studies and 20 from Mathematics.

Duration :
Time for Part I and Part II is 90 minutes each.

Instructions

** Candidate can collect the Admit card from the Centre Superintendent of the Examination Centre at least one week before the examination.

** Reach the Examination Centre at least half an hour before the commencement of the Examination; and occupy the seat that bears your Roll Number.

** DO NOT take Mobile Phones, Calculator, Mathematical or Physical table or any other kind of ready reckoned to the Examination Hall.
** Write your Roll Number, as given in the Admit Card, on the Answer Sheet and on the Cover Page of the Question Booklet in the space provided.

** All questions in the booklets are objective type. For each question, Four possible answers are given, but only one is correct. Your task is to find out the correct answer and mark your choice in the Answer Sheet

** Record your answer-using Ball Point Pen only. Hand over your Question Booklet and Answer Sheets to the Invigilator before you leave the Examination hall.

Type of School /Institution

Government :
A Government school is that which is run by the State Government or Central Government or Public Sector Undertaking or an Autonomous Organization completely financed by the Government.

Local Body :
A Local Body school is that which is run by Panchayati Raj and Local Body institution such as Zilla Parishad, Municipal Corporation, Municipal Committee and Notified Area Authority Committee and Cantonment Board.

Private Aided :
A Private Aided school is that which is run by an individual or a private organization and receives grant from Government or Local Body.

Private Unaided :
A Private Unaided School is that which is managed by an individual or a private organization and does not receive any grant either from Government or Local Body.
