SW Karnataka Prize Money for First Attempt First Class

In order to encourage meritorious SC students to continue their good efforts in education, prize money is being awarded by the Government every year.

After results of Academic exams are announced, Applications may be submitted to the T.S.W.O’s office.

The prize money is given to SC students who secure I class in first attempt in public examinations like S.S.L.C./ P.U.C / Degree/ P.G.courses / Professional courses etc.

Prize Money Amount

The rate of prize money awarded to the students in various courses are as follows.
The rate of prize money awarded :
a. S.S.L.C. – Rs. 500.00
b. II P.U.C. – Rs. 750.00
c. Degree B.A/ B.Com/ B.Sc – Rs. 1000.00
d. Post Graduation (M.A./ M.Sc/ M.Com) – Rs. 1250.00
e. Engineering- Rs. 1500.00
f. Medical – Rs. 1500.00
g. Agriculture & Veternary Services. – Rs. 1500.00

Eligibility

** The student must belong to SC / ST community
** He / she should secure I class in I attempt, in S.S.L.C. / P.U.C./ Degree/ P.G./ Professional courses.
** He / she should be the student of a recognized institution.
** There is no income limit for sanction of prize money .

Documents Required

** Caste Certificate.
** Marks Card.
** Duly filled Completed application form.

Online Application

Please follow the below steps to apply for the Prize Money For Complete Course In First Attempt First Class SC/ST Students,
Step 1 : Enter Your Aadhaar Number
Step 2 : Enter Your Name As In Aadhaar
Step 3 : Select Gender – Male or Female or Transgender
Step 4 : Answer Security Question Eg. 10+2=
Step 5 : Agree “I hereby give my consent to Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka to obtain my Aadhaar number, for authentication with UIDAI and Bank Details.

The Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka has informed me that my identity information would only be used for the seeding within the department and for DBT purposes and also informed that my biometrics will not be stored / shared and will be submitted to CIDR only for the purpose of authentication.”
Step 6 : Click on the Proceed button

Edit Application

If you want to Edit your Application then follow the below procedures,

Step 1 : Select Course Completion Year
Step 2 : Enter your Registration No.
Step 3 : Enter Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
Step 4 : Select College Type – CBSE or Karnataka or Other State
Step 5 : Click on the Go button

Reprint Application

After applying the Form you can Re-download your Acknowledgement,
Step 1 : Select Course Completion Year
Step 2 : Enter Registration No.
Step 3 : Enter Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
step 4 : Click on the Download button

Whom to Approach :
The applications are called from SC/ ST students, who have passed the public exams on merits only through the concerned institutions by Taluk Social Welfare Officer, who scrutinizes & sanctions the prize money.

Time Schedule :
After results of Academic exams are announced, Applications may be submitted to the T.S.W.O’s office.

Taluk Social Welfare officer of concerned Taluk / District Social Welfare officer of concerned Districts.
