Wedding Incentive Scheme provides financial assistance after the marriage. In view of social rehabilitation of PwDs lump sum financial assistance are provided after marriage. PwDs who are not income tax payer are eligible under the scheme.

Who Can Apply?

Scholarship :
** Residents of Chhattisgarh
** Disability of the person must be of 40% or above
** Regular student of school/college/Technical course
** Income of parents/guardian must be less than 8000- per month

Wedding Incentive Scheme :
** Residents of Chhattisgarh.
** Disabled persons of 40% or more disability.
** Age of disabled man must be between age of 21 to 45 years.
** Age of disabled woman must be between age of 18 to 45 years.
** PwDs must be a non income tax payer.
** It must be first marriage of the person.

Benefits

Scholarship :
** 150 rupees from 1st to 5th class
** 170 rupees from 6th to 8th class
** 190 rupees from 9th to 12th class

Wedding Incentive Scheme :
Financial assistance of Rs. 50,000 / – lump sum amount for the couple if either of them is PwD and if both of them are disabled 1,00,000 / – lump sum amount is provided.

Application Procedure

Scholarship Application will be submitted in the prescribed format, to the District Office of Social Welfare / Janpad Panchayat office through the Head of the institution.

Applicants must submitt their application in prescribed format to Joint/Deputy Director, Social Welfare Deptt of their respective district inorder to apply for wedding incentive scheme.

Selection Process

** The District Office, Social Welfare has the right to accept / reject the scholarship applications.
** Assistance amount is sanctioned by the District Collector on recommendation of Joint/Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department.

Grant-In-Aid To Voluntary Organizations

Grant-in-aid to voluntary organizations working in the area of disabled welfare

Objective :
** Grants for teaching of disabled children through voluntary institutions
** Running various rehabilitation programs.
** Arrangement of institutions under the Juvenile Act.
** Running Old Age Home
** Promotions related to drug de-addiction

Eligibility Criteria :
** Institutions that are registered and accredited by the Department and have a work experience of at least three years.

Benefits available:
** Grant is given for free education, training, residential arrangement and rehabilitation of disabled immigrants and for salaries, ambulance, building rent and office expenses.

Selection Process :
District Officer will forward the application to Directorate Social welfare with Collector’s recommendation in the prescribed format, along with the inspection and audit report. After the administrative approval, it is decided.
