SCERT Bihar NMMSS

In the academic session 2018-19, applications are invited in the prescribed form for the National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination -2019 from students studying in class VIII in the State Government’s schools.

Eligibility

** The total annual income of all parents whose parents are not more than 1.5 lakh rupees (one lakh fifty thousand).
** The students shall have minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class VII examination (Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST)

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of SCERT Bihar provided above.
Step 2 : Download the application form from the official website or you can directly download it from the below mentioned link.

Step 3 : Read the instruction carefully and Fill the application form with the required fields.
Step 4 : The completed application form should be sent to the head of the institution.

Note :
It is the responsibility of the candidate and the Principal of the school to deposit the filled in form with the Distt. Education Officer before the last date.

Exam Pattern

The State Level Examination may consist of the following two tests
(i) Mental Ability Test (MAT)
(ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

Mental Ability Test may consist of 100 multiple-choice questions testing verbal and non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities like reasoning and critical thinking. The questions in the test may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figures etc.

Scholastic Aptitude Test may consist of 100 multiple-choice questions covering subjects namely, science, social studies and mathematics as taught in classes VII and VIII.

The question paper will be in both Hindi / English languages. Candidates have to give their answers on OMR answer sheet.

Duration of the Test :
Each test will be of 90 minutes duration. Children with disability will be given extra time, as applicable. NCERT will provide a uniform set of guidelines to all State/UTs for carrying out the examination and promote evenness of evaluation.

Selection Process

Selected students / students selected for scholarship under this scheme will be selected by the written examination conducted by SCERT Patna.

The ideal answer to the examination (Model Answer) will be uploaded on the website of SCERT PATNA dated 12.11.2018 at www.scertbihar.co.in. Candidates can send their objection council by email – examination.scertpatna [AT] yahoo.com with valid and authentic evidence, dated 23.11.2018, mentioning your roll number.

Instructions

** Use only Blue or Black Ball Point Pen. WRITE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. Do not mark or write outside the boxes.
** Leave one box blank between two words. Limit your name and / or address within the space provided for it.

** No. request for condoning delay in submission will be entertained whether it is due to the fault of the Candidate or the Headmaster/Principal of his/her institution.

** Incomplete or defective applications are liable to be rejected.
** Distt. Code, Centre Code and Sl. No. will be filled in by the SCERT
** It is compulsory to attach a copy of the cast certificate issued with application form. Otherwise the reservation claim will not be valid.
