Scholarship:
DLF Foundation has initiated a flagship programme to provide greater access to quality education for meritorious underprivileged students through its initiative, “DLF INSPIRE”.
Aligned with its objective of providing quality education to the poor, DLF Foundation has initiated a flagship programme, “DLF Inspire” for the meritorious underprivileged students and also for the deserving wards of its own employees. Talent identification and nurturing is the core of this programme. The scholarship covers school scholarship (Class I to XII), undergraduate Scholarship (Engineering, IT, MBBS, Fine Arts and Sports) and Post graduate Scholarship (MBA/Equivalent).
About School Scholarship:
Under the School Scholarship programme, each student has been allocated a sum of Rs. 25,000/- per annum, to cover all educational expenses, including tuition fees, transportation charges, school uniforms, text books and note books. This include also a sum of Rs. 3000 per year given to each scholar in two equal installments towards their other miscellaneous expenses such as purchase of school bag, stationary, shoes etc.
DLF Foundation will identify and support meritorious students from class VI and will support them through a variety of handholding programs till they complete their schooling (Class XII) and are able to secure admission in professional colleges and other institutions of higher learning.
DLF Foundation has signed MoUs with few private schools in Gurgaon to kickstart the School Scholarship programme and currently a national expansion of the program is being worked out.
About Undergraduate Scholarship:
To strengthen the scholarship coverage at the undergraduate level, the Foundation has partnered with over 19 colleges in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. As many as 60 scholarships have been planned for each year in Engineering, IT, MBBS, Sports and Fine Arts, while the Foundation would continue to support the scholars admitted already. The ‘DLF Raghvendra Scholars’ will be provided Rs. 40,000 a year till they complete their four-year graduate courses, to cover tuition fees, hostel and mess charges. Selection will be purely on merit and underprivileged status.
About Postgraduate Scholarship:
DLF Foundation has also partnered with few management institutions where scholarships have been allotted for post graduate students who wish to pursue a two-year full time MBA or an equivalent degree or diploma in India. The programme commenced in the academic year 2011-12.
Amount of Rs. 50,000 per annum, per student would be paid as scholarship towards their course fees, books and hostel expenses.
Scholarships for economically underprivileged Wards of Employees:
The Foundation has allocated few scholarships also for the wards of deserving DLF employees who earn up to specified income levels for various categories of scholarships.
